James walked into the book store which was mostly empty due to well, it was a creepy ass bookstore. He walked passed everything up to the front counter, and hoped on it sitting on the part of it, looking for the main person he wanted to talk to. James had been fighting with Hunter and Gabe non-stop lately, so he wanted away from them both. Even though Hunter was a mentor to him, it was something he just wanted to avoid at the moment. He turned his grin to Dylan, "You know, I've been thinking about running for minister the election, what do you think about that?" He laughed, not really meaning it, but looking for some playful batter.
"Minister James Halsey, yeah, I kinda like that." James laughed about it, not even thinking about going through it at all. Gabe and him weren't really into pollitics, and if James tired getting anywhere in the ministry right now, Gabe would have his neck. With all the fights they've been having now it's a lot better than what it was. "So get a drink with be after work?" Normally James didn't come bug Dylan during his work hours, but it did happen.

Dylan was bored out of his mind. He face planted himself on the table since there was not a single soul of a customer inside the shop at the moment. His boss had gone off to who knows where. Dylan didn't like asking since he and his boss never got along well enough. Then he heard the bell chime and he looked up to see who it was. As routine he spoke, "Welcome to Borgin and... Burkes. Oh, its you." he said as he then face planted again on the counter. He listened as the other talked ad he snorted then snickered when Halsey thought about running for Minister. "What do I think? Its all paper work. Fake smiles, and all that drama in the public's eyes. Too troublesome if you ask me." Dylan answered.
Then he snickered once more, "Doesn't sound so bad. Ring me up if you become Minister. I'd take a secretarial job rather than this any day." Dylan told James and chuckled as he sat up and smirked at the other. Then James next words took Dylan by surprise. But after the fiasco with Alex, Dylan needed a distraction. "Sure why not. It'll be a change of pace from drinking with strangers most of the time." he answered.

"I don't know, would you vote for me?" James moved his feet over the counter, to face Dylan, and have his ankles cross at the end. "Well then I'll love going to work every day, Gabe says the Telly we own kills melts my brain with all the drama shows I watch." Normally James would be iffy about the muggle parts of his life, but when Dylan wears muggle clothes sometimes, he decided that the other man was safe to speak freely with. "Ha, maybe someday, I can't say I haven't thought about it. If it's one thing I'm good at, it's talking to people."
Raising an eyebrow at his friend, it made him feel slightly uncomfortable. "Is something wrong?" He kicked his friend lightly with his foot, something seemed up. "Yeah, but when you drink with strangers you get to sleep them, Gabe might be open minded, but...that'll be pushing it." James laughed a little, teasing.

"If you promise to give me the job, not only will I vote for you, I'd make sure you'd win." Dylan said as he smirked and sat straighter in his seat. Then James spoke of the Telly which made him chuckle. "This Gabe you speak of is right you know. The muggle Telly indeed does kill about a million brain cells in ten minutes alone." Dylan told James and chuckled. Though as entertaining as the programs the muggles seem to have created for their own entertainment, Dylan had no plans in rotting his brain when he had so much more to do. Then James said he was good with people. "Well, it shall be put to the test then. When your Minister, you'd have to put up with people that you hate with every fiber of your being but you have to smile still and pretend that you like them. I know I'm not cut out to be Minister. I'd turn to be a Dictator if I ran... IF which I would not." he said and chuckled lightly. Dylan was also good with people, making them lower their guard around him before he makes his move.
Dylan turned to James and shook his head. "Nothing's wrong. What made you ask?" he asked the other. He knew he schooled his features well. "And you know that habit because?" Dylan asked once more. He hadn't told anyone what he did when he went out drinking so how does James Halsey know?

"Maybe in a few years, I'll be the youngest one there ever was." James wondered how he would even get inside, he worked at a bar at the moment, he needed an to get into the ministry anyway. Oh Merlin, he was actually thinking about running now. Rolling his eyes, he liked the Telly, he needed something to do when Gabe was out with his band all night "practicing". James really did think they just played around most of the night, but he didn't voice that aloud very often unless he was really angry.
Shrugging with a smile, "Eh, I'd much rather just by the bar. I mean, being that high up is a lot of responsibility. I just want to have my own thing, like you, why don't you just save up and buy this place? What do you have to loose anyway?" James questioned, that's what he was doing, he was saving up money to by the bar for himself. He had worked it since he was 17, he knew all the regulars by first name even if he never used them. James wouldn't change the culture of the bar, but he did want it.
"I work at the bar you pick up most of your meat, it's kinda hard since the bar is never really filled with pretty boys looking for hook ups. You're spoken about often enough." James tilted his head, unsure of what the big deal was, it wasn't like Dylan wasn't an adult. James didn't care whom the man decided to sleep with, it was none of his business.

Dylan chuckled and just nodded. James Halsey needed more time. He didn't even work in the Ministry to begin with. "Find a way to work inside the Ministry before you plan to run for Minister." Dylan teased him and chuckled once more.
What would he lose if he bought this place? "I'd lose my investment for one thing. The monthly income of this place is not as stable as you would think. Add the fact that this shop is located in Knockturn Alley, not many clients come here. Its rare really. The items here are even more bizarre. Look at the Hand of Glory? Mr. Burke said its been there since he and Mr. Borgin owned the shop. It's still here now." Dylan pointed out, hoping the other would understand it immediately.
It surprised Dylan a bit. He knew Halsey worked at a bar. But not the same bar he was often at. "How come I don't see you at all? The whole bar practically knows me but I have yet to see you there once." Dylan inquired. Then he smirked, "I'm spoken often? Oh do tell, I'm curious. What is it about me that you hear?" he asked with amusement in his tone and lips.

"Buy it, change it, then sell it again for a price high than you bought it for. I wanted to get into business, but it didn't work out. I mean, this place is full of things people want, but it's a place that people are terrified to come into." James wanted do this, he wanted to work the bar and own it eventually. Maybe start a chain for the different bars and clubs of London, it would me a quick way to make money so long as he did the right type of advertising. Looking to where Dylan had pointed about the hand, he laughed, the thing was definitely the world's best Halloween gag.
"Make it a special. Put up a bunch of stuff for sale during Halloween, most of you're customers would be in school, but you'd be selling. Or even.." James started to get embarrassed about what he was saying, it was something he really did want to do, but he didn't normally get the chance to broadcast it like that, and if he did get the chance, he normally didn't take it. "Yeah, not really in the ministry, but yeah, you could do a lot here..." James trailed off into the topic about Dylan's nightly adventures.
"You're the only pretty boy in the bar you twit, they talk about the guy who gets around in the bar. I've seen you enough and even then, people come in looking for you. I remember one guy came in and seriously asked about the younger guy with the dog tags." James gave a pointed a look, because dogtags weren't very popular at all in the wizarding world.

Dylan smirked as he heard Halsey suggest and voice his opinion. It had merit for certain. "Not a bad idea. And here I thought you were just brash and hot headed. Seems like your telly hasn't melted off all your brain then." he joked and laughed lightly. Dylan had more money that even Mr. Burke knew. He could easily buy Borgin and Burkes, clean the place up a bit, put on sale what would look like its expensive but its actually worthless. The ideas were endless at the moment.
He nodded at the suggestion of the Hand of Glory. "That thing in the wrong hands would be worth gold. I'm keeping it personally. Its a friend to thieves as I heard." Dylan said as he leaned back down on his seat.
Dylan couldn't help but laugh. This was precious. He knew he was a pretty boy but for people to go looking for him? They must be desperate. "Seriously asked? Can you remember what he looked like?" Dylan sobered and asked, wondering who came looking for him when most of those he had slept with knew better than to do such a thing.

"I don't know, tall dark and handsome. It was one face among many that night order drinks, I don't remember." James wondered if he should have tried better to, he didn't think much of it thinking it was just a guy looking for fun anyway. "Didn't really think it was important, are you getting with on well with muggle breeders than? They new what your dog tags were, or do you guys talk when you meet up?" James didn't care who Dylan hung out with really, but he asked anyway. If Dylan hung out with muggleborns, than fine by him, it didn't do anything to him if Dylan did.
"One thing I do remember, was he was tall. Like oh damn tall." James started back in talking about the guy who came by the bar asking for Dylan again, but really he couldn't remember much. "I would still by this place if I could. If you don't man, after I buy the bar, this place is next." James grinned, even though he didn't mean it, if Dylan wanted it, James wouldn't take it from him.
--You can make the guy Casey or Alex, up to you. Casey could have been looking for revenge or Alex would have been looking for peace.------

Dylan listened when Halsey tried to describe the man who was looking for him. Tall, dark, and handsome? That wasn't much since Dylan knew many who had the same description. He tried to think hard, hard enough that he tuned out the next part the other said. Well, most of it. "No. Most of them know that once is once. Unless I sought them out myself. So they know better than to look or even ask for me." he told his guest and huffed in frustration as to who it was.
Then the next description stunned Dylan. Damn tall? Definitely THAT guy. Alex's mate. There wasn't anyone else who would know about the tags to begin with since Dylan only wore it once: when he ran into and Alex and slept with him. "I know him. His the mate of someone I know..." was all Dylan said. Either the man wanted to kill him or tell him to never come after Alex again. Dylan was WAY ahead.
Then he eyed the others, "Keep your hands to your bar and I'll keep mine here. I've already thought about buying this before. Was just a passing thought though. Well, I ca change that soon enough. What should I name this place if I buy it?" he asked, thinking of the changes he'd be doing when he became its owner.
