Trevor walked along the corridor, after Transfiguration class, lost in thought. But, for once, he wasn't thinking about the spells he'd been taught in class, or his homework, or his study timetable. He thought about Connor, who wanted to be his friend, and who had caused such upheaval in his mind and body. Could he, Trevor, seriously be into guys? It was something he had never thought about, actually. He'd liked girls before, had even had something going on with one or two that climaxed in some kisses (slobbery, since neither had experience) and in one case, a fumbled grope in a broom closet. Not really enough to call himself straight, he decided. Especially considering what Connor had caused. But Connor was with Lucien, so he was definitely off limits. It was clear that Connor had certain issues with saying no, anf Trevor did not want to take advantage of the shy boy just to get what he wanted and Connor didn't want.
Trevor was determined to never be with someone who didn't truly want to be with him. That just wasn't worth it, no matter how long the contact lasted.
But seeing that he had no chance to be more than Connor's friend left him in a bleak place, made him feel unwanted, unworthy, sure that he'd never find anyone for himself. Depressing, really.
Suddenly, his shoulder connected with something solid, made him lose his balance, and sent him and his bag flying, landing in a heap on the floor. Slowly sitting up while simultaneously checking if his body was in working order, he realized he'd crashed into a boy he vaguely knew from his year, a Slytherin, who was also tangled up with a book bag on the floor.
Mortfied, Trevor got to his feet, hurried over to the other boy, and extended his hand to help his schoolmate up.
"I'm so sorry, I was so lost in thougth that I didn't even see you. Are you hurt?"
