Sitting with his legs under him, leaning against the couch, James got off work about an hour ago, and to his surprise he wasn't actually alone in the house. Usually he came home first and Gabe was out with the band practicing, but he didn't really comment. He didn't want to make it a big deal in case it wasn't intential, instead he just smiled and gave his boyfriend a kiss in passing. Plus James had something he wanted to show Gabe anyway, but he wanted to shower first. James was glad that he was seeing more of his boyfriend, he was glad that he didn't quit his job like he had planned. Every morning since James had told Gabe he was leaving, he was grateful that that he didn't. James showered, since he knew he smelled like the bar and Gabe had made it pretty clear the bar smell was..well, awful. In all honesty, James had gotten used to it over the time he's worked there.
It was kinda funny to the younger man, James wasn't naive, he knew he was the more materalistic one between the couple. He knew that, but he was fine with it. But when it came to the bar, Gabe had no issue telling him to shower when he got home from it when James couldn't even smell the difference anymore. But since Gabe was already here, he didn't want to even get conversation started. Getting out, using a drying charm and putting on a hat, James didn't even bother with doing his hair the way he normally would. He was home for the night anyway right?
Wrong. Watching his boyfriend on his guitar was a simple thing, really it was, but James was bored! He looked down at the popcorn in the bowl, he looked back at Gabe then back at the telly, James really should have known better then to do this by now, Gabe looked like he wanted to focus, but James wanted to do something. He took one of the kurnals from the bowl and flicked it at Gabe's guitar. Knowing there was better ways to get boyfriend's attention, he looked back to the telly with a small smile.
