Benjamin had totally missed on the day. Truly he believed that there would not have been any classes on the 1st of April. Then again, things worked out different as planned. And if there was one thing that could trigger off something in the Potions master was when things didn’t go the way he predicted them to go. So the students had to suffer the most of it, every dork who even tried to pull off an April fools prank, got the worst of it. So the meeting had to be moved a day. Merlin knows how his life ended up being this mess.
Standing in front of his once family shop, he felt even more robbed from his life than he already did. The only thing he had left was his passion and goal for this world, and there was no way that he was giving that up to. Even if it meant to train some annoying kids, so be it. They are all at the same side after all. Good recruits were always welcome. Opening the door of the shop, he almost felt nostalgic. Before looking up to the two men who were already present(Rowan and Dylan work here), he let his fingers slide over the wooden stands and glass cabins with the strangest dark arts.
Noticing the Hand of Glory, he halted before it and grinned a little to himself. “I see this damned thing still isn’t sold. Even after all those years.” He talked to himself and turned his way to the two men present in the room. “Sorry, it was rude of me to ignore the two of you. I am Burke, Benjamin Burke, I used to run this shop along with Mr. Borgin ten years ago, before it became his alone.” He said with his usual polite voice and even tried to move his grumpy face into a forced smile.
