Alex got into bed, making himself comfortable. He turned to his boyfriend with a raised eyebrow, before he moved his arm over to Casey's pillow, his palm up, offering his body to his mate to curl up on to. Alex liked to sleep with his boyfriend wrapped around him, but tonight he just felt like his efforts were a waste. Still, like every night, would at least make the offer, fall asleep with his boyfriend on his chest. Alex wasn't home a lot, so when he was, he tried to make it as much family related as possible.

Just starring at his mate, he let out a breath looking down at his tattoo. Pursing his lips, he didn't want to fight again. But he knew every time he looked at the mark on him, he would feel like this. Angry. Unwanted. While Casey was the bread maker, Alex did try to make him feel appreciated. Alex didn't feel like his efforts were. "Are you gonna come lay down with me?" Look at his arm as if to emphasize what he meant, and how he was wanting to cuddle with his boyfriend even if he didn't say it aloud.

Casey slowly moved about the bedroom. He didn't know how to deal with the fact that he screwed up and mad Alex mad. Usually it never got this far. But here it was and Alex was mad at him. Pissed even. He just didn't know what to do. Then he wondered if Alex would let snuggle. Casey was never used to sleeping without Alex by his side and it was hard when Alex wasn't there.

When Alex asked if Casey would lay down with him, he simply nodded and stripped off to his boxers and climbed the bed. Without even thinking it, he snuggled close to Alex, wrapped his arms around his alpha for security. He was very insecured right now but he wasn't going to say it. How could he? "I'm sorry..." he mumbled still as he buried his face on Alex's chest, hearing the steady beat of his heart.

Alex moved his arm tighter around Casey, not really bothering to respond to his mates apology. Maybe he was over reacting, but the tattoo was permanent. It wasn't as if he could just take it off, Alex and Casey agreed to put off marriage, so when Alex got something else to show this was a permanent thing, he turned out feeling like a moronic teenager. He did the thing he'd tell his kids not to do. Getting your girlfriends or boyfriends name tattooed on you, was the worst type of tattoo. At least with the word "puppy" he could play it off as anything, instead of just his mate. But would Alex actually deny it? Probably not. But he doubted anyone would ask either though.

Closing his eyes, he hummed instead to Casey's apology. Even though he was a little hurt that Casey didn't like his idea, he didn't have to say it. Casey knew he was mad, but he didn't need to know Alexs feelings were actually hurt. So like everything else, he coved it up with a joke. "Guess we solved who the girl was here. All pissy about a tattoo. Night Case." He didn't want to talk anymore, he let out a breath, his head relax into the pillow with his arm around his mates back. Alex rested his palm on Casey's hip, letting himself relax enough to fall asleep.

Casey was not really surprised when Alex didn't say anything when he apologized once more. Alex... he was suddenly tired out. But Casey could understand. He had the kids the whole day and tired them out so they could have the night together but with Casey being stupid and an idiot, he had ruined all of his alpha's hard work. He had to make sure that he would make it up to Alex one of these nights.

Alex joked about it and Casey couldn't even find the will to chuckle. He just wrapped his arms a bit tighter and buried his face deeper on Alex's chest. He tried to relax as much as he could, but Casey's mind was still working non-stop. Because of what he did, Casey was going to have a very bad morning for sure.
