More than embarrassed for the scene that had been made with Dyaln, Alex didn't even look at him when he walked away. He barely looked up at Casey, from his spot in Casey's neck. It was a challenge of strength here, he had made a mistake, he had paid for it. This was more than just guilt, this was Alex's entire alpha status. Casey was family, and family could twist Alex all up and he couldn't get anything done fast enough. He took a breath, pulling away from his younger mate, "Let's go home." Alex's dejection was obvious in his voice, he didn't want to be around anyone at this moment. He should have bite Dylan's head off the second he came out instead of letting Casey get his words in, but he knew that wouldn't have helped any. Casey needed it, so Alex allowed it, and now he felt the world's shitties alpha for letting it happen.
He didn't need to spend more money at the bar, he had alcohol at home, Alex decided to just drink there. Looking to Casey, his voice was distant, but it was the no-non sense voice he used with Casey when he went in alpha mode, even if he didn't need to use it yet. "I'll apperate us when we get out." Even though Casey was more than capable of doing it himself, he was more advanced than Alex in magical abilities, but Alex needed to feel some type of control again over this. If Casey fought him on this, Alex really doubted he'd even go home. He wouldn't go out drinking like the last time him and Casey got into a fight, but he wouldn't want to be in the house having another fight because Alex didn't feel like himself again.
Looking in the bar at Dylan's not retreated back, he didn't even let himself wonder what the younger man was thinking of him now. He was sure this would get out about how Donovan's guard dog was puppy whipped, he got little respect enough for being a wolf as it was, he was sure it would crease even more now. That was Alex's problem though, he wasn't going to take it out on his mate. He didn't think Casey would fully understand, because no matter how smart Casey was or protective he was, Casey wasn't out about being a wolf. That was the entire reason for their first fight, was about how Alex wanted to bask in it, where Casey wanted to hide it. In a way, Alex did admire that his mate was strong enough to endear the secrets on a day to day, and still come home with a smile on his face. Letting out a breath and shake of his head, no use thinking about that now. He walked towards the door, not looking behind him, but obviously expecting Casey to follow him.
