(OOC: This is where you can earn points using your knowledge- and internet research- for your house. )
"Okay class. Today we will be learning about the numerology of one's birthday. Who here can tell me what the birth-date 1.17.70 means for one's life path?" Keri got up and wrote the date on that chalkboard.
She sighed, her students never answered questions. Well, That Granger girl did answer quite a few questions a few years ago. She thought a bit wistfully. What she didn't expect was for one student to answer.
Keri's eyes widened in surprise. "Yes? What's your answer?" She gestured to the student.

"The birthday 1.17.70 means for one's life path that it indicates some special talent that someone possess. It is a gift to someone that will help them throughout their life's path. that date is the least significant of the four core numbers, but perhaps the most finite, in that it reveals a specific ability you possess in a marked degree," Harleigh answered with a grin ignoring the people around her snickering. "Suck up," Someone coughed. "Why thank you Miss. Lupin," the professor said. Keri Animus smiled and thought of the likeness between this student and Miss Granger. She was happy to Have HArleigh in her lion's den. (I hope this change is better)
(OOC: You're supposed to form it as an rp, not just question and answer. I'll keep asking various questions though so anyone can get points.)
The arithmancy teacher sighed and shook her head before realizing that the young girl was right. She stood there for a moment, a bit shell-shocked, before clearing her throat. "Ten points to Gryffindor." She smiled warmly at the girl, maybe Gryffindor had a chance of winning this year after all.
"Now class, will someone please tell me what the master numbers are?" Keri stood patiently, a new fire in her eyes at the prospect of someone actually answering.

Harleigh's hand shot up once more she waved it around waiting to be chosen again. "Anyone other than Miss. Lupin?" Professor Animus looked around and no one moved, "Alright." "I believe there are three master number, and they are 11, 22 and 33." Harleigh said. "Is there anything else about these numbers that are special?" Professor Animus asked the class and once again only Harleigh's hand went up, "Yes Miss Lupin." "The 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers, the 22 is the most powerful of all numbers and the 33 is the most influential of all numbers." Harleigh answered
(OOC: Please don't God Mod. Aka, don't choose my words for me. Thanks.)
Keri was genuinely shocked. How in Merlin's name did she not notice this pupil before? The student was a diamond in the rough. "Right yet again Miss Lupin. Ten points to Gryffindor." She nodded. She'd definitely have to speak with the young girl later. The yound professor thought for a moment before letting the chalk write her words on the board behind her.
"Now, take out your parchment and solve this equation: 11+17+67 equals... what?" She stood patiently. It would only take a few moments for the intelligent redhead in front of her to raise her hand.

Rolling her eyes, even though Dean was a Gryffindor that didn't mean she wanted them to get all the points. Puplia rolled her eyes at the girl who kept raising her hand, "Someone is in the wrong house." She said quietly with a smirk, the snorts around her from other Slytherins made her feel a little bit better about being backed up. The 6th year didn't even turn around to see who joined in the quiet laughter, but she did see the blonde Ravenclaw to the side of her. Puplia really did try to ignore the asinine jerk who threw food at her, but really she did need to get revenge at him for it. His stupid boyfriend was already going to get it.
Putting her hand in the air as the next question was asked, she didn't want the stupid Gryffindor getting additional points. She's already gotten more than enough for her house!

Connor looked up from his book, he didn't really want to respond to the questions, he knew basic math. Sitting in the back of the room, he moved his ink quill over the paper, writing the problems and solving them but not raising his hand. He didn't see a lot of point in doing basic math like this, he saw this entire class as easy, he would feel bad taking credit from other students who couldn't just do this basic math.
Looking over the classroom, he wondered back to if he could get Lucien to meet him on the pitch tonight, he'd been doing a lot of studying lately and he was ready to find something else to do for a few hours. The blond boy knew he couldn't bail on his homework, to maybe he could meet up with the Gryffindor after that. Connor really didn't plan on raising his hand, until he saw that Puplia did. He didn't even wait to be called on, not wanting her to answer first, even though he knew he shouldn't care. "95, Professor."
As soon as he answered the question, Connor wished he hadn't. He didn't like being the focus of a teacher's attention, Connor sat in the back of the room for a reason! Setting his hand down, Connor just starred at his book, hoping no one actually heard him. It was a simple equation, but it was more than just mathematics to Connor. He wasn't used to speaking up and he wasn't used to attention, but Puplia and her silly friend just brought out the worst in him.
Keri groaned inwardly at the 7th year in front of her. "Ten points from Ravenclaw for speaking out of turn. And thank you Mr. Collins. But I'm afraid that answer is incorrect. See class-" she brought the spotlight on Connor.
"-arithmancy problems are different from normal maths problems. To solve an arithmancy problem you must add the numbers to create a single digit- or master number. Does anybody else have an answer?" The professor looked around hopefully, she hadn't had this many people answer in class for years. "Ah, yes. Miss Smith?" She fought to keep a grimace off her face. Puplia Smith was nothing but a trouble maker. However, she had to give the girl some credit, she was clever. One of the brightest young girls in her year, though she tried not to show it.

Connor just glared at his desk, of course he'd be the one to get called out on for speaking out of turn. He didn't get it, he followed the crowd and it was bad. If he didn't follow the crowd, he was weird. "Whatever." He didn't ditch classes, he didn't fail classes, and he sure as hell didn't get into trouble to make his house loose points. Connor didn't feel like himself, he shouldn't care what Puplia did, he shouldn't care about getting questions right in class, and normally he didn't. Normally he sat in the back of classroom, worked on his homework, and things were good.
Since he got with Lucien and tried to be a normal kid for one year, just one year, he's gotten into a fight with a girl, got his boyfriend into trouble, and even lost his house points. Taking his book into his bag, Connor stood up and walked towards the doorway of the class. At this point, all he was missing was a detention and to actually fight with Lucien.

Before Puplia was called on, Connor spoke out. The smugness she felt wasn't shown on her face, no matter how good it felt to hear the stupid Ravenclaw boy get the answer wrong. Being called on by her Professor, she set her hand down, "5, Professor." She hoped that she was following the method that was going on, if she got the wrong answer too, Puplia would be incredibly embarassed. Hearing the Ravenclaw behind her move, she saw him actually get up to walk out of the classroom.
Was he really have a fit in class over 10 points? People lost points all the time. Puplia wrinkled her nose at him, what a cocky jerk. Puplia hoped he lost more points for it too.
