Why they would be a Death Eater Sylvanna had always had the tendency to lean on the Dark Side. She was a Slytherin and a pureblood who knew well that the Magical world she was living in was soon headed to destruction if the continued breeding of the muggleborns enter their world. She hated muggles for the reason that they had killed her daughter who was a mere five year old when she and her husband had been in the muggle side of London, conducting business with a few contacts. Her daughter had been brutally raped and murdered when her body was recovered several hours after she had disappeared. Sylvanna’s husband had died as well after he was killed a year later in a muggle shoot-out. Her hatred grew as she then swore to eradicate the world of the filth that were muggles.

Background of the character: Sylvanna wasn’t always as bitter, as narcissist, and as cold as she presently was. She used to be quite cheerfully and happy towards the world. She was a pureblood who attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw. She even argues with the hat who initially want her in Slytherin. But she wanted to be in Ravenclaw because she loved to learn. Most of her childhood was just as normal as the rest of the purebloods, except for the fact that there was a war between the Light and Dark. Her family had sworn themselves to be Neutral and it had stayed that way as she grew up and left Hogwarts.

Sylvanna took up her Mastery in Ancient Runes and had travelled the world after her parents had died. Her father had died first then her mother too soon followed. Sylvanna was already twenty-eight when they passed away and though she felt that she had been left behind by her parents, she knew they deserved the eternal rest as they had kept themselves from being pressured by both sides to pick one and fight for them.

However, not too long, she had meant a half blood on her travels. Damien Beauclaire was a man of excellence and of pride. He was an accomplished Potion’s Master and was travelling the world like her to see the different kinds of ways their taken Masteries were done in different countries. Not soon after, they had fallen in love and had gotten married. They had settled in France at first but then moved back to England and occupied the Thorrington Manor. Four years after their marriage, they finally managed to bear fruit, a beautiful little angel which they had named Marianna Elizabeth. They had everything they could possibly wished for.

However, when Marianna was five, Sylvanna and her husband took her with them to muggle London to conduct some business with a few people they knew. Everything had happened so fast that the next thing they knew, their daughter was gone. They tried to locate her using tracking and point-me spells but it was too late when they did find their child. Little Marianna was brutally raped and murdered and from the Aurors that had covered the scene, the child did accidental magic as she was being raped and the muggle who got scared instantly shot a bullet through her head in fear of what the child had done. It had broken Sylvanna and her husband so much that instantly, she wanted to find the man responsible for killing her daughter.

But her husband had distracted her and she had then secretly vowed to have her revenge when she could. A year after, Damien had gotten caught in the middle of a muggle shoot out as he had gone to muggle London to pick up a few supplies himself. When news had reached Sylvanna, she had instantly lost her mind. After mourning the lost of her husband, she had then went back to locating the man who had raped her daughter. It did not take long to find the culprit and she had made sure that the man felt every moment of pain she and her husband felt when he had killed their daughter.

Just as she was walking away from the bloody scene, it was then that she was in the presence of the Dark Lord who had actually watched the whole time. She had instantly bowed and an hour later, had pledge her life to his cause: to annihilate the muggle race and the Light as well.
