James sat on the arm of the chair, half leaning against his boyfriend, half against the chair, a beer in his hand. He loved hanging out at Hunter's house, really it was something he was used to at this point. looking around the main room, James felt like he was at home. Even though he worked here, he lived here too. One couldn't say he was raised here, but this was his first real home, Hunter was his first real family. At least James thought of him like so, he never asked Hunter what he thought of James to him, because the answer he might get, it might not be the one James expects. So with a smile on his face, he doesn't even think about it, because this is home. Loosing place in the conversation, James came back to earth, looking at Hunter then Gabe, "Wait what?" 

Tipping the bottle in his hand to his lips, James raised an eyebrow, he hadn't meant to leave the conversation really, he was just thinking about how things used to be before he got a job at Starry, and even then, James was sure he could have done better at the time had he wanted to, but things were good now and he wouldn't change anything. Well, aside from the fact that he still hasn't worked up the courage to talk to Gabe about him wanting to get married. "I'm starving, anyone else?" James said standing up to go into the kitchen, he didn't mind making anything, and Hunter hadn't had the house elf when he was around, so James didn't mind cooking, in fact, he would rather do that than some house elf thing do it anyway. In a way, James still saw this place his domain, a creature taking his place while he was around wasn't comforting, even if James didn't realize it himself how he felt threatened.

Gabe supposed that being around Hunter was cool as long as he wasn't left alone with the guy. Gabe leaned against James, knowing his boyfriend was in his own little world. "James is totally out of it," Gabe told Hunter with a grin. "Any second now and he'll come back to earth wondering what the hell is going on," he said with a chuckle. He then laughed as James came to and spoke up. "We were just discussing how you always tend to zone out whenever there's a conversation going on. Do we bore you James, is that it," he asked curiously. His brown eyes looking into those blue orbs that belonged to James. "If so then feel free to change the topic," he teased. The Asian male blinked when James suddenly got up, claiming he was starving.

"Well...I guess I could use a snack. I'm not dying of starvation or anything though." He shrugged and then drew his legs up onto the couch, casting a sideways glance at Hunter. Sometimes Gabe wondered what Hunter thought of him. Did he think Gabe was slowing James down or did he think he was positively impacting the young Death Eater's life. He knew that Hunter was important to James, so he felt like he had to be on his best behavior, although he rarely did such things. Now was one of those rare times.

Hunter took a sip of his beer as he lounged on the sofa in his living room. He snorted at Gabe's words. With a glance at James he could tell the Asian was right. James had that zoned out look on his face. Hunter had seen it enough to know exactly what it meant. He was in his own little world alright. If he were being honest, James was one of the most important people in Hunter's life. He never told him that though because he just wasn't that kind of guy. He hoped the kid knew it though. He grinned as James came back to them just like Gabe had predicted. "Sorry we're so dull. I could pull out some heavier alcohol if that'll help." He joked before sitting up.

"Sure, if you don't mind. I could eat." He said with a shrug as he took another swig from his beer, finishing off the bottle. "I'm out. Either of you need another?" He asked before heading into the kitchen. He never minded when the pair invaded his home. They were good guys. Gabe seemed nice enough and he made James happy so Hunter was nice to him although he didn't know him well.

Shoving his boyfriend's shoulder with the palm of his hand, James grinned, so what this house did a lot for him. Even if he had to work to stay in it at the time, he knew now it only helped him. Now at home it's rare his house if ever dirty or and dinner is most of the time made, James fell into a routine when he lived by himself that was just moved from Hunter's house to his own, and now that him and Gabe live together, it was the sticking. Well, unless Gabe had practice or James was running late, but even then, the next day picked up. "Asses.. I was listening!" Even though it was true, he grinned either way. "I could out drink both of you." James said with a smirk and fake pride in his voice, even while he said this, he wasn't even sure it was true.

Moving to the kitchen after he got both answers, he figured to just make sandwiches, because it was quick and simple and you didn't have to eat the entire thing if you got full. James wasn't really sure what snack thing he could make, Hunter wasn't really the guy to go out grocery shopping. James didn't even worry about Gabe and Hunter being alone together anymore, when they first started dating sure, he was nervous as any new couple would have been. He grabbed the three plates, and carried them out to the main room again, but he didn't really bother sitting on the arm of the chair this time, he just sat on the ground, leaning against Gabe's legs. "We should totally test that drinking theory at some point. Hunter, Gabe was a jerk about this when he saw it." He lifted up his now blonde hair as to prove his point.

Gabe glanced at James. "You were not listening and even if you were, I highly doubt that you could remember half the things that were said," he spoke casually. "And let it be known, there is no way in hell that you could outdrink me or Hunter." He crossed his arms over his chest. "You're a light weight babe." He smiled lightly and then nodded to Hunter. "I could use another," he stated before he looked to James as he came back and sat on the floor. "Upset," he asked as he ruffled his boyfriend's hair.

He then looked to Hunter. "I wasn't a jerk. I simply stated that he'd have a hard time in the Alley with hair like that, accompanied by his way of dressing. That and I may have stated that I was hoping I was seeing things after he got pissed that I didn't acknowledge his new color." He smiled ever so lightly before kissing James on the cheek. "Stop being a tattle tell," he whispered. "I'll make you sleep in the other room tonight."

Hunter snorted in amusement as he watched the two of them quarrel. It was pretty normal behavior. "Your guy here has you pegged. I can guarantee you have no idea what we were talking about." He grinned wickedly at him. "Well, if you really want to prove yourself, be my guest." He would love to put him in his place. He knew without a doubt that James had a weaker tolerance than both Gabe and himself. He got each of them a beer before reclaiming his seat.

"Sorry, James. I agree with Gabriel on this one," And most things, he added silently. "You really should go back to black. It suited you better. You're going to get mugged on your way into work and then I'll have to work your shift." He crossed his ankle over his knee and took a drink.

Grinning at Hunter, James knew his boyfriend had him down pretty well. They knew each other, it was rare that they couldn't figure each other out. James was pretty open about his thoughts and wants, Gabe, well, while not as out spoken, got through to his boyfriend enough. The younger male knew he was attention spoiled when it came to his relationship, and he didn't want to change that for anything, even if Gabe was a arse a lot of the time. James returned the favor when need be. "Fuck you both, you guys are mean. I had very important things going on in my head." Which wasn't really all the way true, but this house just had James in a fizzy every time he came out here. 

"I am not a light weight!"James defended himself, he knew how to handle his alcohol thank you very much! Just because he didn't have the party days like Gabe, he worked in a bar with Hunter for the past four years. He's grown into it over the few years! Even then he never had much more than a few drunken nights since he's worked at the bar, every time though Hunter had been with him, not even James would let himself get drunk alone in Knockturn Alley. Looking at what was his family, he couldn't help but laugh when Hunter was actually up for a drinking game. "For real?" He grabbed the bottle from Hunter as it was handed to him, he looked at it, wondering what they could do. 

'I never' was a game played for teens who were just being brought into the new world of sex and unless they played a shots game, James wasn't sure what they could do. It would be fun to do though, and he'd be able to show up his boyfriend and mentor. Knowing he was seen as not only the youngest, but the weakest of the group, James has been feeling like he's had to prove himself for of something for awhile now. He didn't want to be the weaker one anymore, he didn't want to be the baby or the girl all the time. Sure it was fun to use to his advantage sometimes when he wanted something from Gabe or when things were getting crazy and he wanted Hunter, but there were sometimes James wanted to be the one on top for once. The one who was better at something other than being the prissy girlfriend.

Knowing what people say about him, knowing what his boyfriend thinks of him it wasn't hard to figure out James was just going to have to get used to be treated just as we he was. With no doubt that his family actual cared about him, but he was starting to feel less and less of a man and more like the flower they didn't want to break. James took up the blame, he understood why they acted like with him. He was the boy who would did dye his hair blonde and put glitter on his eyes, for no other reason than that he liked it and wanted to. Sometimes acting like an adult was more than just making their choices, James was going to have to prove that to Gabe and Hunter at some point because he didn't want them thinking like this about him forever. 

That really should have been saved for another time though, he had spent all that time thinking about this, he hadn't even realized he'd zoned out again. Leaning back against Gabe's legs, James moved his head to rest on his boyfriend's knee. Looking up at Hunter, he didn't even try to be less touchy with Gabe around the other man, he didn't see a reason to try to after they had been together for so long. If Hunter ever voiced that he had a problem with how James acted about with Gabe around him, James would have stopped. Hunter's opinion mattered more to him than anyone else's. Seeking the approval he never got as a kid, James never realized how much of an effect Hunter had on him in his daily life when without living with the older man anymore. 

Blinking, James shook his head when he did come back to the conversation, he wasn't upset really. He was just over thinking again, and looking up at his boyfriend, he just leaned up a little closing the distance between the two of them, and kissed his lips. Upset wasn't the word, more like, inspired. Who knew what a drinking game would challenge in a person? Pulling back and sitting down on his butt again instead of his knees, leaning his head into Gabe's hand that was now in his hair, he looked back to Hunter, "I think a drink game would be fun. I mean, if we can make it interesting of course. What fun is a contest with no prize?" James laughed, raising his eyebrows in challenge to the two older men in the room. 

Rolling his eyes with a wave of his hand, as if dismissing a careless thing, [/b]"You so are too. I'm a big boy, I'm more than capable of defending myself. And we both know I can win any physical fight I get into."[/b] If anyone tried to touch him, James would end up knocking someone's teeth in. He wasn't for magic when it came to personal things, because he believed if someone is willing to dirty their hands trying to mess with him, than it was only fair that he return the favor. Growing up in muggle foster care, physical fighting was the only the way to fight, so you had to be good at it. James got good at it fast, he hadn't really needed since he became of age to use magic, but he was still a better fighter than a dueler. 

Whipping his head over to his idol, James pouted, that wasn't fair! Hunter had seen James in action around the bar, he was good at handling himself no matter what he was wearing there. He was just glad they didn't have uniforms, otherwise, James would have gotten into fights just to insure that he would never ever have to wear them again. Eventually Hunter would have given in and just let James wear his own shit to work, but since they don't have uniforms anyway, James never needed to worry about it. Picking up some of his blonde hair, looking at it, he frowned, he liked it. Why couldn't everyone else like it too? "You're seriously not supposed to agree with him on this. Now you're picking favorites, no fair." James said to Hunter, in a near whine. 

Snorting with a smirk, he looked up at his boyfriend, the only difference with that threat, was James followed through with it. Difference between Gabe and James, James was much more sensitive about the things that happen, it didn't take much to hurt James's feelings when it came to his boyfriend. So if Gabe ever tried to kick him out of the bed, James would probably end up in the water works. Though, James also knew at this second, Gabe was joking around with him anyway, " As if you would pass me up. I'm the fucking sun bitch." Grinning, James moved from the ground to Gabe's lap, it was just his way of saying that he was only playing. Turning back to his mentor, "Let's get out the liquor!" James's voice was filled with excitement. Maybe he would be able to show up the two, even James doubted that, but he was going to try! Especially if they were going to make it into a bet.
