My son Almir from my knowledge isn't doing very well in your class, is there a way for him to get help in moving up his grades before the end of the year? I will understand you are a busy man and such, so if you cannot help him, is there something that can be set up in order for him to get the help that is needed?
Usually I would not mind helping a student in need, even despite my busy schedule. However your son who I am well aware off who it is, doesn't show that he is willing to work hard for it. I'll help students who work hard and show that they really want it but Almir and his friend Acer barely pay attention to my class. So no, you could find someone else. That Acer kid is pretty decent, despite his lack of attention perhaps your son could.
I could suggest that you tighten your grip around your son a little. The behavior that he shows isn't acceptable.
My son told me not to write to you, saying you would not be of much help, and here he is proven correct. Despite what a student is like or what a student does, you are professor, you are the one who needs to set the better example, not a petty one.
My apologies about the way my other letter sounded. What I wanted to say was that your son could have approached me if he needed help. Yes, I know his grades in my classes aren't what you would say, sufficient to pass the year. Despite that he has no talent in potions at all, I feel like he would be able to do better if he was a little more motivated. Once he shows that he is willing to work for it, I'll have no problem with helping him.
What I was thinking is that your son seems to prefer talking to his class mates. Like the way they talk more connects with him. If you want I could ask some students if they are willing to help. Perhaps he learns things faster when he gets things explained by people of his own year.
