Character: Cain Maximillion Redferne
Gift/Ability/Talent: Wandless Magic
Why they have this gift or how they got it: The Redferne family had always been producing intelligent, flexible, and well trained wizards and witches for many years. The children are pushed to learn every branch of magic that they can master.
How it was mastered: Cain had to learn through years of self taught and experience. He had to learn wandless magic after his creature opponent had gotten his wand and threw it away during battle. Cain had only survive by sere luck. Since then, he had trained physically, mentally and spiritually to master wandless magic which had been of great advantage on his part.

Why they have this gift: Dean's personality is to be the best at everything so he can overcome all obstacles. So, naturally he wanted to learn how to perform magic without a wand and without speaking.
How it was mastered: Dean trained himself, starting by attending a special summer class after his first year at hogwarts. There he trained himself to perform magic without a wand and without speaking.

[Harleigh LeStrange-Lupin]

Character: Harleigh LeStrange-Lupin
Gift/Ability/Talent: Wandless-wordless magic, Telepathy, enhanced senses.
Why they have this gift or how they got it: Harleigh was born with these powers. She has the abilities because she was born to a werewolf and telepath.
How it was mastered: Harleigh mastered her wandless-wordless magic over years of practice alongside her friends. Her father helped her control her senses before he died.She had never completely mastered her telepathy.

Why they have this gift or how they got it: Metamorphmagi are born not made
How it was mastered: Metamorphmagus is not mastered, it is a gift that one is born with.

Character: Isabella Glace
Gift/Ability/Talent: Animagus, metamorphmagus, partial wordless, partial wandless
Why they have this gift or how they got it: (In order) Isabella became an animagus at the end of her 5th year, wanting a way to escape from her school quickly and effortlessly. She was also born a metamorphmagus. She learned partial wordless and wandless earlier this year and is currently mastering it.
How it was mastered: The more Isabella read about Animagi, the more she yearned to learn how to become one, her animagus is a dove. 
She learned the concept of wordless and wandless magic quickly and is taking advanced classes currently.

Why they have this gift or how they got it: Derric got all of these abilities to aid the dark lord
How it was mastered: In school, Derric took extra classes and afterwards he decided to learn on his own.

Why they have this gift or how they got it: In Ada's place of work, it's safer to not have to need a wand to preform magic. So she took it upon herself to take classes at a wizarding college
How it was mastered: She mastered the skills at a wizarding college within a year

Character: Keri Animus
Gift/Ability/Talent: Wordless, partial wandless, animagus
Why they have this gift or how they got it: Keri felt it was safest to have these abilities in case the school got raided a second time. 
How it was mastered: Keri read up on various techniques on each one and taught herself how to master wordless magic and partial wandless, she took a ministry appointed animagus class
