Marissa Rochester

Appearance Marissa has a slightly dark appearance. She has dark wavy hair she which reaches past her shoulders. Her eyes are of a dark brown and she has thin lips which seem to grow even thinner when she’s displeased. Her eyes often narrow when she thinks the person she looks at is beneath her. She has a thin straight nose and is considered very beautiful with her high cheekbones and overall aristocratic face, making her the pride of her parents and many a guy fall for her, who she dismisses like her father told her, but not without a suggestive comeback. She carries herself upright, has an elegant step and knows how to appear to her best advantage in public just like her mother taught her.


Character History Marissa was born into a family of blood purists. Early on she learned the ways of the pureblood society, learned their believes and opinions. As she got older she formed her own views based on this and turned out a flawless member of the pureblood society. She learned to look down at others whose blood isn’t as pure and grew to protect their magic and keep it to themselves instead of ‘sharing’ it with Muggleborns with their wrong view of the world.
In her/their opinion purebloods alone should be allowed to do magic and following this belief a pureblood needs to be strong and proud. So Marissa built a strong façade over the years to fool the world around her and protect her fragile little self. By attitude alone she tries to protect the unsure girl, who, despite being quite clever when she wants something and who’s not above trickery to achieve it, is easily manipulated by those who know their art. Despite surrounding herself with strong friends, who she chose carefully to be able to judge who would be of the most use for her, she still appears strong and independent to the outside, or as independent as is fashionable for a future pureblood bride.


Family History The purity of the Rochester family is almost extinct. The last pure line is the one of Thonan Rochester and his wife Daratris Rowle. Despite having four children they only had only one son, Udian, the third child of the last Rochester line.
His eldest sister Wanda was a blood traitor and married a half blood man, together they got two sons and a daughter but the Rochester family didn’t care for her anymore.
His second sister, Victoria, married a pureblood wizard and both became death eaters, but didn’t have children. Victoria killed her elder sister in 1996.
Udian’s younger sister Bristine married a pureblood wizard as well and they got three daughters and one son.

As Udian saw it as his task to regain the glory of the Rochester family, his father arranged a marriage with the daughter of a great pureblood family.
However that was the time Udian became attracted to Cicelie at first sight, or rather she woo him and have her way with him. She allured him into breaking up with the fiancé his father had found for him, which angered the fiancé’s family. While Udian’s parents were angry in the beginning, once they met Cicelie, they were actually proud of their son. She was simply beautiful and any man could wish on marrying her, apart from her being from a just as ancient pureblood line.

Just like his elder sister, Udian joined the Death Eaters in 1970 only to quit in 1977 when his first child was born. Perhaps it was meant to be because two years later their daughter was born and a year after the war they had their third child. If he’d still been a death eater at that time, he’d have put his whole family in danger by risking to be sent to Azkaban.

Despite that Cicelie barely shows that she cares for anyone, she really does. Both she and her husband expect their children to do good. If they would act different than expected they would blame themselves for being bad parents.
