Ancient Runes Class I

Sylvanna had to readjust her lessons for the term after returning that night from the manor. Donovan had finally given them orders. Though she thought that it would have gone better, he was starting out well enough. Which just made Sylvanna more excited. They were back on track now and moving towards a better world for them. As she made her way to her classroom, Sylvanna was fixing her clothes once more. She knew her fastidiousness was showing again but she didn't care.

As she reached her classroom, she could hear noises from the inside. At least they were already there. Sylvanna opens the door and walks in, he high heels clicking on the stone floor as she walked through the seats and towards her table. She turns and smiles at them.

"Welcome students, to the first class of Ancient Runes for the new term. I am Professor Sylvanna Beauclaire. You are all here to learn and study runic scriptures, or Runology. As everyone obviously knows, Ancient Runes is a mostly theoretical subject that studies the ancient runic scripts of magic" she began with her jovial tone.

"So, we shall start by going around and sharing what you all remember from last term. Because there are some who have probably not studied during the summer and you all might not have remembered anything from last term at all... So who will start off?"

Octavius sat slouched in his seat, nibbling his lip anxiously, when the teacher walked in. He didn't turn around - it was rude - but when she entered his vision he watched as she made her way to the front and turned. His book was sitting in front of him, slightly battered from the dozens of times he'd read through it, just waiting to be read. He wanted desperately to learn more about the interesting subject because - despite having read the class book and a few others - he knew there was so much more to learn. When Professor Beauclaire asked what they remembered he nearly raised his hand; he chickened out at the last minute though, too nervous to say something wrong and embarrass himself horribly in front of everyone.
