Father Son Time :Josh:

"I got charms, your Papa cast a few charms, you will not be falling off any broom from our house." It was made certain that everything was safe before using, Alex wasn't going to a risk injury to get Josh out of his books. That would be counter productive in Alex's eyes, "And I won't let go of you either, so don't worry."

Groaning, shit, Alex hadn't done any of that since he had been in school. That was nearly 13 years ago. He thought about it, "You don't tell your Papa and we can, yeah." Alex already knew the fact that he agreed to do that, that Casey was going to have his head, but Alex was pretty confident in being able to do it. And if not, there were more than enough spells on this broom to act as a safety guard. "Deal?"

Whe his dad reassured him that he wasn't going to fall off, he became more confident. Of course he would be. His dad was there for him and they could do anything. Then when his dad said that as long as he didn't tell Papa, his dad would do it. For a moment, Josh thought about it then he nodded. "Deal!!! Let's go higher Dad and feint!!!" he yelled excitedly. Now he was eight.

Alex nodded and took extra care to keep his son between his arms, even though there were numbers of spells on the broom. He was not going to risk Josh falling off at ant point. Flying higher up so that he would have time to stop coming down, he grinned this was something he hasn't done since his school days. "Ready buddy?" Alex spun the brooms direction upward, and he shot off in a curb around heading in a downward nose dive making sure to get a clear view of the ground while gripping this arm securely around Josh.

Laughing as he pulled up on the last part, there was only 5 feet or so left of the ground. "Whooo! You good bud? That was pretty fun huh Josh? " Alex let go of the broom letting it hover while he ruffled Josh's hair playfully, still pretty excited from the adrenaline rush falling. Kissing the top of his head, he smiled.

Josh was excited as he was going to finally experience the move he had read about. When his dad asked if he was ready, Josh nodded. "I am dad." he answered excitedly and they went upwards. Josh was not worried at all since he knew his dad wouldn't get them both hurt. Then the sharp dive came ad Josh was cheering! "Woohoo!!!!" he said as they dove down.

When is dad pulled up, Josh was running on adrenaline. "Again! Dad! Let's go again!" he wanted to do it again. The feeling had been so amazing and he couldn't help it. "It was amazing dad! Even more so now than from just reading it!" Josh raved about the experience and hoped he'd get to do it one day by himself.

Alex laughed, relieved that Josh enjoyed it as much as he did. "Maybe later huh? Why don't we try out your own broom while we're out?" Alex landed the broom to where his feet touched the ground and then he slipped Josh off it as well. "You're gonna be doing that on your own someday." Alex said ruffling Josh's hair as he walked over to his son's own broom, bring it over to the two of them. This was actually turning out a lot better than he thought it would.

He gave Josh the children's broom, assuming his son knew how to mount it on his own. He stood by closely in case anything happened, even though Alex was pretty sure the broom was safe, he didn't want to underestimate it. "Alright, I'm gonna be on the ground until you get up higher, this isn't going to go as fast as we did until you learn how to control the broom. We'll get you bigger one when you get there." Alex was pretty excited about actually getting Josh into this, maybe when he was older they could actually play some of the games together.

Josh pouted a bit when his dad said that they would do it later. Then he was reminded about the beginner's broom that they had brought with them. "Will I be able to do it on the broom, dad?" he asked excitedly. He didn't exactly know the components and the estimates of the broom yet but he was going to find out the moment they went back home. He wondered in his head if he could modify the beginner's broom alone. Well, he had to know what charms were on the broom first before he dismantled it on his own.

Then Josh got on the broom, taking a deep breath. "Alright dad. I do know the basic safety precautions. I'm ready." he told his dad and the leaned forward to make the broom rise up from the ground. Josh knew well to test the broom's abilities while he was still near the ground. Then, he sighed and moved the broom to circle his dad for a bit before attempting to go up higher... Well as high as the broom allowed.

Alex put up his hands in a mock surrender, "Sorry smart guy, forgot you've done this a hundred time before." He grinned to himself, letting Josh he watched him for a second, before he grabbed his own broom getting up in the air next to Josh. "Alright, Josh! You can get it up to about 20 feet buddy, after you get used to that, I'll let you get up higher. We'll have Papa mess with the charms a little, see if we can get it to go faster too, how about that?"

He wondered how'd he convince Casey to get the charm off it, limiting the speed of the broom, but he was pretty sure he'd figure something out. So long as they didn't talk about the little trick they just pulled. He grabbed Josh's broom, looking at him seriously, "You do not attempt that trick on your own, ever. You can get seriously hurt Josh, the broom won't allow you to crash but it can rebound you. I know you like it, but you have to get used to the broom first, okay?" Alex did not want Josh getting hurt because of one fancy 3 second trick.

Josh growled at his dad for a second before rounding his dad once more before going up. When his dad said he could go up to twenty feet, Josh instantly brought him broom to move up and soar up into the sky! He loved the feeling of being that high up. Then he leaned forward to see how fast the broom could go. All he did was round his dad but in the air. He could barely hear his dad really but at the moment, it didn't matter. He liked what he was doing. He definitely loved flying.

When was wondering if he could pull off the trick. Josh stopped rounding and hovered in the air, contemplating if he ought to try or not. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to pull it off. But Josh really REALLY wanted to try. He then smirked and tried to see if his dad would fall for it. He then faced down the ground but not really moving yet. He was just facing the ground with his broom.

Alex narrowed his eyes the second Josh started to test him, "If you want to go home right now we can, because that's where you're headed Josh." Not wanting to be stern dad right now, but he didn't want Josh getting hurt even less. If he saw even a hint of moment towards the ground, Alex was going to immobilize the broom and get Josh off it. They'd be going home right after that, he'd offer to take Josh back out on the field in a few days, but he wasn't going to let him do tricks like that just his first time on a broom. This was he gets for a trying to be the cool dad for once. He just wanted something to relate with Josh on, and the kid turns it into a death game.

That smirk is what got Alex the most, the same damn smirk Alex gives when he's teasing. It be Casey or Jason or his kids, he makes the same damn smirk, and does the exact same thing. He pulled out his wand, raising his own eyebrow, challenging his son. Alex wasn't scared to end this trip if Josh was going to pull stunts like that.

Josh heard his dad this time. Then he cackled inside his mind. His dad was ready for whatever Josh was going to do. So with it, his smirk grew wider and he zoomed down, straight towards his dad, as fast as the broom would allow him to move, then when he was about five feet away from his calculation, he brought the broom to a stop and jumped off towards his dad, knowing well his dad would catch him.

Josh was laughing in his dad's arms. "Will we be coming back here soon, dad?" Josh asked as if he had not done something so dangerous. He was still giggling due to adrenalin i his veins.
