"How do you even stay? Are you not a strong women? Independent creature? How can you babysit a boy who thinks lowly of you?" Alex frowned, he was unimpressed with the way the women spoke about this family, as if they were her own. If it was something she saw nothing wrong with, the younger male knew he was going to be attempting to make a sale to deaf ears. "Ask them if they care about your status, you tell me if their worth your protection."

Nodding, he looked around to make sure no one was ease dropping, before he turned back to Maria. He leaned over and whispered to her, to make sure what he was going to say would not be over heard. "There are hundred of us in hiding, hundred of us blending, and pretending not to be something we are. There are many of them? There are many of us, we just have to find them. Alone, you are women whom is strong, are you telling me you are just as vulnerable as a simple wizard?" Alex raised an eyebrow to make a point, many creatures were stronger and faster than a wizard, with or without magic.

When Andrews had asked why she stayed, she shrugged. "Draco does not think of me as his babysitter. He thinks of me as a sister he never had. I took care of him as he grew up. He knew what kind of creature I am and he is amazed by it. He even asked me at one time if I would turn him and keep him as my own son soon. I didn't promise. Lucius and Narcissa might not like it if I did. But I told him I'd think about it. Draco is like my child in everything but blood." Maria said as she thought of the young blond boy she cared for most.

She then sighed. "And how do you plan to bring out the others from their hiding then? Yes, there are so many of us but they hide... run away. The worse is when they deny what they are just to be accepted in society." she said and took another sip of her wine.

Alex narrowed his eyes at the vampire, annoyed by her bluntness, as if the entire room was not full of wizards as it was. Or even he bluntness about which family she was in. "You speak all their names so bluntly, the family who has been well hidden, and you speak of them cleanly as if they are right in the open. If the wrong person heard you, you say you care so highly but you take a stand and say you know where they are." Alex wondered if he would be able to trace back the smell, he was pretty sure he could, and even if he couldn't, he knew tracking spells.

"They are more loyal to themselves than they are to anyone else, being in hiding is to help themselves. If we fight, if we win, think about what we will change." Alex stood straight, looking at Maria without blinking, he was tried of being degraded because he wasn't 100% human anymore and he wouldn't let his children grow up like it either. "Imagine yourself, older, wiser, running for the new minster. Someone who's seen the good and the bad of the world. Imagine finding a mate, not being able to protect him or them being ashamed of themselves or you. We fight, because we shouldn't be ashamed. If you don't have faith in this, if you think you are what you are, and there is nothing you can do, then meeting with you has no point. I need fighters, not pets." Alex grabbed his jacket, she was fighting against him, and Alex didn't want that, he wanted fighters. If he had to change a hundred people in order to create an army, he would.

Maria chuckled a bit. "You think I speak with a tone that these wizards hear? If you haven't noticed, no one but you can hear me, Mr. Andrews. Its yours impressive hearing that makes you hear me clearly when what I really do is whisper and hiss. I think some can hear you but they don't hear me." she informed him and smiled at him. Maria knew better than to speak of her family out in the open. She was smarter than that.

She then thought about what he said. About not being able to protect Draco. She didn't want that. "What do you want me to do?" she asked him once more. She would protect Draco even if it would cause her her immortality. There was no price she would pay if it meant Draco was kept safe and she would be able to be herself and go out. She wasn't hiding... just binding her time.

"If I were you, if you care so much about this boy, change him. Make him yours, and train him. He'd be a trained wizard and a trained vampire, what could he get?" Alex wanted people to understand, that creatures we more powerful, but better at running things than the wizards were. They had no problem hurting or fighting against the magical creatures of the world for no reason, speak ill of them with no proof, and they say their better than their kind simply because they can.

"I'll be recruiting, I'll owl you again when I wish to speak with you again. By the time I leave here Maria, many people will know what family you work for, but they will do nothing about it...until you go off telling about my plans. If you keep this to yourself, your family will be left alone. I'm sure you understand why I'm taking a precaution like this. I want your help, your smarts and your will is what I want, I hope we can find something to agree on." Alex would only tell Jason about the Malfoys, but he would do his own tracking to their whereabouts. He'd only tell Jason that they would be the blame if Alex suddenly disappeared.

Maria was surprised when Andrews suggested that she give Draco what he asked for. It was a bit thing and immortality like her's was not something to just give away. But Draco... she was hers. And she would want to keep it that way. She then nodded. But it would take a well thought of plan. Draco was already pale so it wouldn't be much of a difference when she turns him. "Alright then. I'll plan something for my charge." she answered.

She listened more and knew Andrews was right so she just nodded. "I don't plan to place my charge in harms way until he can defend himself so no need for you to worry about others knowing from me. Until next time then, Mr. Andrews." she said as Maria finished her wine and stood up to leave after Andrews vanished. The ma had a flare for dramatic exits.
