Just Overprotective :Casey:

Moving over to his mate, Alex sat down on the floor beside him, moving his mate up, so he could move behind him. Resting his head on the back of Casey's shoulder, he moved his arms around his waist, "I will never leave you. I've done everything I can to show you...No, I guess I haven't huh?" Alex kept saying it, but there was always more for him. He let a breath, it was hard for Alex to let go of any type of control, if it be his own life, his brother, his kids, or even Casey. Casey felt like he was falling apart because Alex made a bad choice when he was in control of a situation, he should have talked to Casey after they fought instead of pushing it as far as he did.

"I abused my status with you as your alpha, and I'm sorry. You're my beta, and I did something terrible by you. You are my mate, my Casey, I should have done right by you...so, I can't redo what I did, but I can give you something I've never allowed before." Alex took a deep breath, he wasn't used to this at all, and what he was about to say was way outside of Alex's comfort zone. "I can give your wolf something to conquer...Something not a single person in this entire world as ever gotten from me...submission."

"You need something from me, to satisfy your wolf. Prove to me you can handle your alpha, I'll..I'll do this for you. 24 hours, I'll be where, what, and when you want me. Okay I don't if I can give more than that Casey, but I can give you that." Alex was struggling trying to convince himself that he could let go for a little while, but it was not going to be easy. Alex has issues with his pride more than anyone out there, he can barely make himself understand that Jason isn't just his little brother anymore. "Dylan had something you've had a hundred times, so this is something he will never get. Something no one has ever had...it'll help."

When Alex joined him on the floor, Casey didn't even protest. It always ends up that Casey breaks down first and Alex ends up having to hold him. It wasn't bad. But Casey felt a bit weak because of it. But his wolf was calming down now. It was being touched by his alpha so it was kind of sleeping now. At rest.

Then Alex reassured him that he wasn't leaving. Casey felt better, knowing that Alex wasn't lying to him. Alex would never lie to him and he knew it. However, when Alex said that he had abused his alpha position, Casey instantly turned and shook his head, snuggling closer, whimpering that Alex had not done so. His wolf was awake once more and worried as well. After a few more words, Alex... offered him something Casey never thought he'd hear. And even his wolf agreed. He smiled as he held his alpha's face in his hands so tenderly.

"Then for the next twenty-four hours, stay by my side. Never leave me. Hold me, touch me, make love to me... just stay with me. Talk to me about anything, even if its just a passing thought. I want to hear you talk, about anything and everything. I want to feel your arms around me, holding me close and making me feel safe. That is what I and my wolf wants. You and only you." Casey gave his condition. He will owl his boss that he needed to take an emergency day off due to familiy problems. They both needed this and Merlin help the world, Casey will have his day.

Nodding, Alex could do that, he just wondered if they could do it on the couch instead of the floor. He wasn't going to rush his mate though, "I can do that." I think. Alex would have rather dealt with direct orders than this, Alex didn't really know what to do with that type of communication. He didn't know what to tell Casey about what he was thinking, it was just him thinking, he didn't need to think aloud. Nuzzling his nose into his mate's neck from behind him, he didn't even attempt to move them from the floor, Alex wished his knew how to make this place better, this place they were at. "So what would you like to talk about?" It wasn't judging or smart, it was a general question. Alex hadn't been a very good mate lately, and he knew that, that one mistake blew them apart, but he wanted his mate to understand that Alex was here for him.

Normally the older man would have made a joke about his mate's request, but it seemed more than inappropriate to make that this point. Alex was known for his ability to make fun of everything, but sitting here with his mate, his own gut was in knots wishing things were better. Wishing they were okay. They weren't okay though, they were sitting on the ground in their hallway trying to make things just a little bit better. "I'll always protect you Casey, that was my issue walking in the door just now." He moved against his mate's hands, kissing the inside of Casey's palm.

"I turned you because I couldn't see myself with you. I purposed to you because I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Puppy, I tell you every day how much your mine, but I wouldn't be sitting here with you if I wasn't just as much yours." He starred at Casey's eyes, trying to make sure his mate would actually listen to him this time.

Casey was glad now. He was at piece within himself that Alex was there with him and even allowed this little control away from the alpha and given to him, his beta, just to reassure him that Alex was not going anywhere. Casey knew Alex's thing for control and this was a big step for him. and Casey wasn't going to take advantage of it at all. He smuggled closer to his alpha, "Anything... what did you eat today... what did you do? Where'd you go? Seen anything nice? Ate anything sweet? Anything." Casey murmured to Alex who was holding him still. This was what they needed. Time.

Alex's words caressed Casey's mind and soul, cradling him closer than ever. "I understand now... I'm sorry for worrying you. I won't do it again." he promised. He didn't want Alex to get mad at him the way he did earlier. It made Casey feel so horrible. And he didn't want to feel that way ever again.

Then Alex moved his face so they could look at each other. Alex then spoke and told Casey more than his mind, his heart, his soul could ever ask for. He nodded slowly and smiled. "And I can never imagine life without you as well. The moment I first saw you, I couldn't think of anything else. I know you were just different. And that my life wouldn't be what it is now if you didn't stare at me back then." he told his alpha and chuckled softly, reminding him that Alex did stare at him the first time.

Smiling a little, not able to keep from it with his mate asking him silly questions, but he would indulge in them anyway. "Let me think, did I eat today? Actually I don't think I did, not at least since this morning. I was pretty much running an errand that took most of my day, London can get pretty busy when I need to be calm." Alex shook his head, he would not be giving Jason anymore shit for this job. It was a pain in the arse. "I won't be making fun Jason anymore, that's for sure...But oh! I did make some cash though, I thought since my proposal was pretty weak, we'd could go out on a date. You know the whole sha-bang."

Nodding when his mate said he'd wouldn't worry him, Alex smiled, "Good, now that you said you wouldn't, that's my permission to hunt you down if you're lying." Alex continued to hold his mate, moving his legs out to get more comfortable as his mate got closer to him. He had a feeling they were going to be here for a minute. He started to run his hand through Casey's hair, knowing how it relaxes his beta. "So what am I thinking about..now this is weird. I don't know what I'm thinking other than, what am I thinking. Oh! We gotta plan for a second trip to the park, you gotta see Josh on a broom Casey, it was awesome. I was proud as hell watching him, he's a natural. It's like...we got something in common finally. And we, just, we bonded." Alex smiled looked at Casey, his mate wanted him to walk, now Alex felt like he was talking too much.

Casey smiled back when Alex began to answer his questions. Then he stared. Alex hadn't eaten since this morning? He instantly stood up and ran to the kitchen to feth the plate of food he had prepared for Alex. He should have known that his alpha woulf forego eating just because he had so many things to do. Casey then came back and set the plate on the living room table with a can of Alex's favorite beer and pulled him to the living room. "Eat. You should have told me you haven't eaten all day, Alex." Casey told him worriedly. Trust Alex to not do so.

Then he heard Alex's words about them going out on a date. Next time. But right now, they could just stay home. "We will... Next time. Right now, I just want to spend it at home with you." he told Alex as he kissed his alpha before giving him the knife and fork to start eating.

He chuckled and nodded. "You know I'm a bad liar." he reminded Alex as Casey shook his head with amusement. Then Alex talked about Josh. He smiled. "Really? How was he? What was he like on a broom?" he just asked questions. Casey wanted to hear what Alex was just thinking. He just wanted to hear Alex talk about anything and everything under the sun and moon.


Food Here

"Ba- Okay, I'm coming." Alex said with laugh, he followed his mate into their living room, he pulled Casey down with him when he sat down on the couch, but shook his head about the food, about to tell his mate he could wait till later...until he said remembered he said he would be whatever Casey wanted for the next 24 hours. Taking everything from his mate, he moved himself into the corner of the couch, so that his plate could rest on the arm of the couch, Alex was able to eat with just one hand.

Moving his other hand to the back of the couch, he kept his side open for Casey to come cuddle with him. Alex would be a liar if he ever said he didn't like to cuddle with his mate, but then again, Alex didn't care if anyone called him a liar either. "I didn't mean tonight, you already ate and made me dinner Case, I mean like, in general. Would you like that? A date and some dancing, the old people romantic jazz." Alex laughed, taking a sip of the the now open can. He kissed Casey's cheek as well, his lips cold from his drink.

Alex was excited to talk about this experience was Josh, but he didn't understand how this was helping anything. Alex was just talking, wasn't the point to get Casey to talk so that his mate would feel better. Not understand how Alex talking about everything about himself would help his mate feel better. "He was a natural. My little man is gonna go to school a pro, I'll take him out every time he asks, and I'll be out there with him. I can't wait to see him play a game when he gets to school. How he handled the broom, he was just easing into the height and speed, he knew what he was doing." Alex knew he needed to tell Casey that Josh jumped off the broom, so they could talk about it. He wasn't sure if he should trust his eldest that he wouldn't jump off the broom if Alex wasn't there or if he should keep on his instincts on make the broom safer.

"But I thinkk we need to take another charm on there, I don't want him trying to get off the broom with being close enough to the ground. Like the either the broom will land or keep them both in the air. Josh tried to get off too early, just thank god I caught him. At least until we move him, can you add another charm to the broom the next we go out?" Alex would, but he knew Casey's magic was better than his, bring a proud man didn't make Alex naive, he knew his talents and he knew Casey's. Wand waving was not one of Alex's talents.

Casey wanted to pout when Alex laughed but he didn't mind. It was Alex. When his alpha accepted the plate of foot, he smiled and placed his head on his alpha's lap to find comfort. Casey always loved the small things rather the than huge actions and stuff.Then Alex said that he didn't mean dinner that night. He wanted a date. Casey blushed as he buried his face on Alex's lap. He shivered at the cold kiss but accepted it with a smile."Sounds like a good night. We should make sure that we have a sitter. Which reminds me, I have one in mind. I've known him for quite a while now. We can't always shove the kids to Jason you know." Casey told Alex as he thought of Daj, that Gringott's cursebreaker that he had known for quite a while now. The young man was kind and a bit bored out of his mind and watching the kids would take that boredom out for sure. Casey smirked at the thought of Daj taking care of Chelsey.

Casey listened as Alex talked about Josh. The proud voice Alex used made Casey felt good that Josh made his dad feel this way just by loving the very thing Alex loved as well. "He is you son you know. It would not surprise me if by his second year, he'd try out for his house team. I can see it already..." Casey sighed, "... which worries me now." he added as he imagined Josh up in the are, dodging bludgers and the chasers.

But when Alex spoke more, Casey sat up and frowned. The words well used and strategically covering what really happened. "What do you mean Josh jumped out of his broom early? How high was he up? You caught him right? I will make sure that I'll place those charms in the morning itself. He will have an earful at breakfast! What was he thinking of jumping off? Did he think he could fly? Ugh!" Casey went on full mother hen mode which he almost always did when Alex did something dangerous and Casey could feel it.

Humming in response, Alex wasn't okay with someone he didn't know watching the kids, even if Casey knew him. Tilting his head, looking down at Casey, he looked hesitate, "I don't think that's a good idea Case, I mean, we don't even know this guy. And we both know from experience, people aren't always what they seem. I trust Jason, he's my brother, he'd never hurt the kids, and I- We know that. How do we know that's the same for any other kid?" Alex stopped his hand movement in Casey's hair, meeting his mate's eyes, with how things we right now, Alex just didn't the idea of it.

Laughing, Alex couldn't wait until the day Josh was playing sports all on his own, Alex would be at every game. He'd make damn sure of it. "He'll be a hell of a flyer alright, already to get into the motions, I bet my money on him being a seeker. He's a fast little shit, not much in muscle, but he makes up for it." Alex grinned, like nothing would make him more proud than seeing his son doing something out there. Building his pride and his confidence, on top of his liking to learn. "Josh is gonna be a ladies man when he gets into school, that'll be a hell of crack up. Smart as a whip and fast on a broom, I say he gets a girlfriend the month he starts school." Alex said already planning out his son's future in his head.

"Babe, he knew I was right there. He just jumped towards me, the same way Chelsey jumps off the bed or the couch towards me, it wasn't a huge deal. I just don't want him thinking to the next level of that. You know? And I handled it, let it go Case." Alex rubbed his hand down Casey's shoulder, soothing over his riled up mate, he smiled though loving how mother hen Casey was.

Casey chuckled and expected the answer. "But I do. I knew him from way back. He was at Hogwarts before I left. He is a good kid. Head strong and calm. Downside is his a bit of a pessimist. Josh has met him and both got into an argument that ended in a draw. Josh nearly bested Daj, someone nearly a decade older than him. However, Josh forgot that Daj was a cursebreaker and that he knew more of his job that Josh knows from his books." Casey shared and chuckled a bit. He then turned back to make sure that Alex was the only one talking and Casey would listen. It was just want Casey wanted: to hear Alex talk.

The way Alex spoke of JOsh made Casey so happy. He smiled brightly and nodded. "He is your eldest son. Of course he would be just like you. Did you doubt it?" Casey teased Alex a bit and smirked. Then the thought of Josh having a girlfriend, Casey laughed. He shook his head. "No, I highly doubt it. Josh would be married the moment the first day of class starts. He'd marry the library and never leave her side." Casey said and laughed. Oh, he was sure of it.

Casey relaxed a bit but still was worried. But he nodded and let it go as Alex said. "I'll make sure he doesn't do it again. And he better not have a scratch on him the next time you go out. I don't want him doing such stunts before he even gets to Hogwarts." Casey shook his head and sighed. Josh was more of Alex than he thought.
