Surprising Lessons -Donovan-

Sylvanna finally found the time for her lessons from Donovan. It sounded so funny yet intriguing. What could Donovan teach her that she didn't know already? Sylvanna was older, more knowledgeable than her young lord but she was open to this. Who knows. She might actually learn something she didn't already know. She had dressed appropriately and well before heading over to the Riddle place, saying that she had business to conduct with the bank for the rest of the day.

As she reached the headquarters, she immediately headed straight to the study first where she guessed Donovan would be. "My lord?" she knocked on the door, hoping that he was there. She didn't fancy walking all over the place in heels. It wasn't a pleasant thought.

Donovan just finished another letter to his mother, standing up to send it out. He didn't really know what to say to her most days, just that he hoped all was well and that they could come out of hiding soon. They were so close to getting somewhere. Turning from the window when he heard Syl's voice, turning to her, he was going to tell that they would be working upstairs, until he took in her appearance. "Hello Syl, you can come in... Aguamenti." Donovan said without pulling out his wand towards his

"You're extra dressed up for someone who is going to be practicing dueling." Donovan leaned to sit back on his desk, more amused with his co-worker's attire.

Sylvanna heard his voice and was internally relieved that he was there. She slowly opened the door and bowed when she closed it behind her. She smiled and bowed her head when the younger man commented on her clothing. "I had to dress well for a 'meeting at Gringott's' my lord." she told him with a smirked and bowed once more. Her employeer had called in an emergency meeting which led to her becoming the new Slytherin Head of House.

"I do have good news to bring though. Earlier today, I was made Slytherin Head of House as the last one... asked to stepped down for reasons unknown to myself. Now you have two Heads of House in Hogwarts to your disposal, my lord." she told him, hoping he'd like the news she brought and moving the talk from her clothes. It was just embarrasing.

Clicking his tongue, Donovan was more than aware of the reasons why Benjamin Burke was no longer in office, and it was not because the man was asked to step down. After killing two people as werewolf and being found out about, it was not a mystery to why Hogwarts was replacing him. Looking to Syl with a raised eyebrow, if she was being smart, Donovan didn't appericate it. "Then it should be easier for you to find younger people to train. I hope that you find yourself capable of what Burke wasn't." He raised an eyebrow, still bitter about the entire situation with Burke and his rampage.

Smirking at her, "You're dressed like a housewife." He was amused, only because she was overly dressed, other wise, he wouldn't normally care. "We'll be moving upstairs where we won't be disturbed."

--When Benjamin Burke was in wolf from he kill Davion and his son, the ministry has gotten a hold of the information..meaning the Death Eater have as well. Me and Jul figured that the Death Eaters will be bitter about a werewolf being in the inner circle and killing another member. Up to you how Syl reacts, but Dylan would know too --

Sylvanna bowed, she really had not been aware of the latest happenings since she had been delayed somewhere else. She knew Burke had gotten into trouble but nothing more. Even Redferne was clueless. She didn't even smirk or smile. She just bowed seriously. "Of course, my lord. I shall begin when the term starts." she answered. She just hoped that Redferne was doing his own share and not just 'teaching' his students. She sighed. "The only reason Burke had not been able to gather students was his role as potion's master. Thanks to Snape's history, Burke was instantly placed in the same light. Had he moved or even spoke out of context, he would have been interrogated instantly. Plus he is nearly always in his lab, making potions for the infirmary as well." she defended, not herself but Burke as to why he wasn't able to even find students to convert to their cause.

When Donovan said she dressed like a housewife, she blinked before looking down at herself. She did? She never noticed. This was formal wear. "And how should I have dressed then, my lord?" she asked, making sure that IF there was a next lesson, she'd dressed properly then.

--Syl doesn't know because she had been trapped at Hogwarts for most of the event? She'll know Burke got into trouble but nothing beyond that. We can put it as SYl was then ordered by the Headmaster/Headmistress to go some place for an errnand.. for Hogwarts' purposes...--

Moving his eyes over Syl, trying to figure out if she really didn't know about what happen with Burke. Finally he made up his mind to tell her, "Burke is no longer in my circle, he's cause result to Davion's death." He looked her over to watch for her reaction, because this wasn't something small that open ears would not be listening to. Finally assuming she didn't know, he debated on telling her how, but he figured she would be finding out very soon anyway. "Davion and his heir were with Burke, when Burke's werewolf form killed them." He stood very still as he watched her, he wanted to know what her judgement would be before he reacted.

Smiling shaking his head, "You look beautiful Syl, but if I were to through fire at you, would want to risk your jewelry? Or your nice clothes? Take advantage to practice." Stepping around her to walk upstairs, he wanted to get this started, "Give it a week, you'll be able to magic without a wand at all." He was teaching her, he hoped it would come in handy for him.

Then her lord explained and she stared in wide eye shock. Did she hear him just right? Burke lost control? It can't be. "It can't be..." she whispered in disbelief. "He.. He... He was always in control of himself. And I thought he always took wolfbane when the full moon was nearing... how could that have happened? Him losing control?"[b/] she bowed down, wondering how and just what had happened to Burke before... Then she recalled the talk she had with him. His daughter and his ex wife. He always wanted to protect them. It must be because of them but Sylvanna was going to keep it to herself for now. Until her lord would ask.

She smiled back a bit and bowed. "Thank you my lord... I shall remember to not wear jewelry and nice clothes when facing you during lessons." she said as she followed him and taking off her jacket and he jewelry and placing them inside the inner pockets of her jacket. "I have utter confidence that when the week is over as well, I would be thankful for it being over." she joked a bit.

Shrugging it off about Burke, "What can you expect from a werewolf?" Donovan regretted it deeply ever looking to the man for anything, every thinking he get benefits from Burke joining the circle once again. Because of that, one of his members were dead, a member of the circle who Donovan also trusted. Walking again, he turned to Syl as he walked up the stairs, "You're the last one of the rank left, don't disappoint me."

Opening the doors to a large room, Donovan moved around the doorway to let Sylvanna through, he was hopeful that she was going to be good for him. If she wasn't, Donovan wasn't sure how he was going to avenge anyone. He didn't pull out his wand but he spread his hands out in front of him, "Okay so as a kid, you've already experienced accidental magic. It only happened when you were stressed or scared or well, when you needed something done. As a kid it was all off your emotions right?"

"It's the same thing still, use hand gestures for right now, after awhile you don't need to. It's more comfortable though and it'll give you something to your energy too, so think of your strongest emotion, think about why you have it, what it's made from..then feel the emotion as strong as you can. Make it raw and new."

Sylvanna was still trying to process what Donovan just told her. If she saw Burke again, she'd have to ask him directly. Why did he do it? He was supposed to be better right? He said so himself. That he was better than most werewolves. When Donovan told her she was the last one and that she shouldn't disappoint him, she bowed, "I will do my best, my lord." she told him. She would definitely do her best, she already planted the seeds on Donovan's mind, she was now cultivating it. Spending time with him to make the seed grow faster.

She entered the large room which was obviously where they would be learning. Sylvanna turned to Donovan and listened to what he had to say. She then loked down at her own hands. The boy, young as he was, indeed was insightful and wise beyond his age. She nodded when he had asked a question.

Emotions. What was her strongest emotion? Can the want to manipulate anyone to create a better future be an emotion? The want to create the world her former lord wanted and had shared with her and the rest was her strongest at the moment. Then as she thought about it, she felt it... her magic. She could taste it even. Then her hands began to spark a bit which made her eyes widen in shock. What was that?

Smiling, "Good, that was pretty good. Try to feel your magic, think about how your magic is wrapped around with your emotion. Take your mind off it, you have to feel this in your gut, Syl." Donovan moved around her, watching her expressions and body language, he wouldn't use other methods unless he really needed to. So far for the first try, she was doing really well, so he wasn't too worried. "Come do it again, feel how your magic flows through you and our your hands."

"You don't need to think about the tool, just like how you don't think about your wand. Your wand is normally apart of you. Your hands are apart of you too, think how easily your magic flows through it." He'd probably need to mix this up some time, Donovan felt pretty good being able to teach Syl. He felt good being able to do to something that someone wanted from him.
