Good To See You Again, Cherub [Connor]

First day back and they had no classes yet to give the students a day to settle back to their rooms and for the first years to be guided around the castle by the prefects. Lucien had done his share of guiding and he was glad to be off duty now. He had been wanting to see Connor since the night before but since he was a prefect, he couldn't just do what he wanted. He thought for a few moments where he could possibly find one Connor Collins in a huge castle but then he smirked to himself. Where do any Ravenclaws hide away when not in classes?



The Library.



He quickly made his way up the stairs and pass the halways without looking like he was running. Running in the halls were against the rules and as Prefect, Lucien wasn't allowed to break them. Just merely bend them to his favor. He brisk walked and finally made it to the library and took out his wand and murmured, "Point Me Connor Collins, Ravenclaw." then a red and gold arrow came out of his wand and he followed where the arrow was pointing. It didn't take long for Lucien to reach a secluded corner of the library and saw his precious cherub lost in reading. He cancelled his spell and leaned on the shelf with his hands crossed his chest. "You are one hard raven to find, cherub." Lucien spoke to make his presence known.

Studying for his potions class, he didn't want to fall behind again like he did last year, it was rough enough as it was trying to match everything. Connor's family moving away to get away from the war last year only to return half way through the year killed him, he couldn't even come close to do that again. So Connor was right back into his original routine of the previous years, he'd get everything done ahead of time so he'd always be ready for anything. When a voice interrupted his thoughts, he looked up, Connor couldn't help but blush at the nickname, as if he had only heard it for the first time. Something like that was going to take some getting used to.

Smiling when he saw Lucien, he looked back to his book, sighing before shutting it. He didn't think they should stay here, they would probably start talking and they needed to make sure it was quiet. Well, maybe, Connor pulled out his wand, and cast a silencing ward around them. Small enough for just the two of them so that he didn't have to use a lot of energy to keep it going. "Hey..Uhm, how have you been? I, normally hang out in here. So if you every want to..you know, find me. I'm, uhm, normally right here." Connor started to stumble over his words again, like he did in the beginning of when him and Lucien first hung out. He looked around, wondering briefly if anyone had heard Lucien call him 'cherub'.

"Why were you looking for me?" Connor finally asked, he didn't know what him and Lucien were, Lucien didn't seem to know either from the last time they hung out. To be on the safe side, Connor just thought them as friends, and Lucien was just really friendly. Like really really friendly.

When Lucien saw the blush, he smirked and moved closer to where Connor was and sat down on the chair across the other. "Hello to you too, Cherub. And to answer your question, I'm doing well, thank you for asking. How are you?" he asked back before leaning back on his seat. "I could have guessed that. I had to consult magic to help me look for you. And glad to know that I have knowledge of where to find you when not in classes." he added and smiled.

Connor asked why he was looking for him. "No particular reason aside from wanting to see you again and talking to you. I don't think I have thanked you enough for letting me stay that one night. Your parents were wonderful and accommodating. Your mother and father were very kind." he commented and smiled. If his own parents were alive, Lucien wished they were like Connor's parents. "Besides, can't I go and look for you? that's what people who are dating do right?" he asked teasingly.

*let's assume that Lucien indeed had stayed over at Connor's that night after their date and Lucien met Connor's parents?

Oh god, he said it. Connor eyes grew and his blush his his ears, they were dating, his parents let his boyfriend, oh merlin, boyfriend, stay over. They didn't even know. Connor didn't even know. Putting his finger to his lips, as if that would stop the smile, but so he just turned his head instead, so that he could hide this little bit of embarrassment. "I...uhm, I guess they do. My parents, they loved you. You're well, the only friend I've invited over..and Merlin, I'm gonna have to tell them that you're not just a friend." Connor wasn't even thinking that his parents would be upset, because Connor saw no reason to lie to his parents, it was just a big deal to him to have a boyfriend.

"Uhm...I, yeah. I'm always here. I like to study, I was really behind last year because of everything, and I can't even let myself think about that happening again." Connor had no issue talking about school, but the second he had to talk about himself, he just froze up. "You..Uhm, you look nice Lucien." Connor tired to compliment, because while the other boy did look nice, he didn't know what else to say. He was so awkward, Lucien was not going to like him for very long.

Lucien couldn't but chuckle when he saw Connor wanting to stop himself from smiling. It was so adorable. "Well, what's not to like about them back? They were so kind to me when I stayed. They didn't even pushed when I obviously wasn't telling them the whole reason why I didn't want to go home. Your parents are simply amazing. And I don't think they would mind. If you want, we can go see them and I can ask them personally to allow me to date you." Lucien suggested, his French accent surfacing again. If that is what it took, Lucien was going to do it.

"J'espère qu'ils me permettra cependant."(8) he muttered to himself clearly, not knowing if Connor understood French or not. But it didn't really matter. He then sighed and smiled again. "If you ever need help with catching up, all you have to do is ask me, Cherub." Lucien told Connor as he held one of Connor's hands and placed a soft kiss on it before pulling away and smiling. "Thank you. But with you around, I pale in comparison. You look simply wonderful. So relaxed and calm." he complimented back as he took in Connor's clothing that day.

Looking at his own clothing, he shook his head, he got made fun a lot. People said Connor looked like a girl dressing like he did, he didn't really pay much mind to them, but sometimes after awhile, it did start to sting. "Thanks." Even though he didn't really believe Lucien, he didn't tell him that, it was rude and Connor knew better than to be rude when someone was in the least attempting to be nice to you.

"My parents are fine, I think, that, you asking them would be...I don't know, it's not like I'm an actual girl." Connor understood he didn't act or look like an normal boy, his hair was long, he spent his time in books, he wore skinny jeans and baggy shirts. Connor didn't want to be looked at like an actual girl though, "Sorry, I didn't mean to be mean. I know you only meant well, I can act a little girly sometimes." Connor said to make sure that Lucien didn't actually get upset, the blonde wasn't sure what he'd do if Lucien did get upset. "You can ask them if you want." Connor smiled a little, he didn't want to loose the only friend he's ever made because he talked too much about something like this, if Lucien wanted to ask, Connor would let him.

"I don't need help catching up...I mean, last year I was gone half of the year and I had to pl-sorry, yeah. If I need it, I'll tell you. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude or anything."

Lucien couldn't help but chuckled. "I'm being honest you know. I can tell you don't believe me. Whoever sai negative things towards you really are idiots. Your simply perfect the way you are. If they can't see it then its their lost." And my gain of course. Lucien thought to himself on the last part and smiled.

the Connor spoke of his parents, and spoke of him being the girl. He chuckled. "I don't mean to say that your a girl or anything. I just want your parents approval of me dating you. I would let you meet mine if they were alive. I simply want to ask them because I can already tell that their options matter so much to you. And I repsect that." Lucien explained himself. He didn't want to make Connor feel uncomfortable so he had to be extra careful with him.

Then he chuckled. "A simple, alright or next time would have sufficed. But alright then." Lucien teased once more and chuckled.

Kicking Lucien's chair with his foot lightly, "Hey! Come on, I trying here." Connor smiled a little, trying to be a little more confident about this, but he wasn't sure how to be. With the other boy making him smile and blush so much, it was really over whelming for him to catch up with everything he was feeling. It was more attention than he was ever used to, sure his parents gave him positive attention, but that's was his parents, it was normal. The attention Lucien was giving him, that, was still new to Connor. "I, just, don't know what to say sometimes."

He was trying to find he right words, but they always came either too much or Connor felt like he wasn't saying enough so it was coming off as rude. "Sorry...Uhm, about my parents, I don't think they'll care. I mean if you want to write them, you know, you can. But I don't think you need to is all." He didn't really think his parents would disprove, but than again, Connor wasn't a parent. Lucien wasn't dangerous and he was the same age as Connor, so he didn't think they would care much. Running his fingers over his bangs, unsure of himself, he just wanted to relax like they did at getting pizza. But he couldn't. Talking about his parents and dating and Lucien being right here in front of him, it was too much to try and keep from skipping around in his thoughts.

Looking over Lucien, Connor couldn't help but take in everything about the other boy. It was astounding that his boy, was his boyfriend, Connor had never had one of those before. Sure he had seen couples around school, but he had never participated in anything like that. His eyes moved to Lucien's hand, he wondered if it would be okay if grabbed his hand, like how they did at the restaurant. Was there a bad time to hold hands? How was he supposed to know when he could or if he was allow to ask? Blushing he looking back to his own hands, using both palms to rub his eyes, trying to pretend he wasn't blushing at all. "I'm gonna be a really terrible boyfriend..Merlin, I..I'm sorry." Connor wasn't sure if he apologizing for being a bad boyfriend or not being able to talk clearly, really he was just sorry for both.

Lucien lifted his legs whenn Connor kicked his chair. He then laughed happily as he looked at the other across him. Lucien smiled and wondered how long it would be until Connor walks away from him because of his brothers. Lucien didn't want to think about it really so just pushed it at the back of his head for the mean time. He smiled at Connor, "You're doing well right now. We can both learn what works and what doesn't between us. Honesty should be the foundation of our relationship. Along with trust." Lucien suggested and hoped Connor would agree. "We don't have to tell each other everything. But if it would be a hazard to each other, we should come right out and say it." he added.

When Connor apologized, Lucien chuckled. "I think it would be better if I tell them in person. Letters contain words that may be interpretted differently and words can sometimes confused others." Lucien explained a bit then shrugged elegantly. He knew that the hard way a few years before but he wasn't going to think about them right now.

Again, Connor apologized. But this time, for being a horrible boyfriend. Lucien instantly stood up and moved to sit next to the other and hold his hands to reassure the other that it was alright. "You're not going to be terrible. I know that you said you've never in a relationship before. I can understand that and I agree since I have never been in one as well. So we can work together and see what works for us. No rush, Cherub. We have so much time. Don't worry." he told Connor as he placed a soft yet a bit lengthy kiss on Connor's hands.

Biting his lips when Lucien grabbed his hands, he felt like an idiot but relieved at the same time, leaning up against Lucien, "I..now, I feel stupid, I kinda...well, just wanted to hold your hand." He mumbled that last part, his face was heating up and he felt awkward saying that aloud, because he had never heard people asking if they could hold their boyfriend or girlfriend's hand before. They just did it. Connor didn't know if that was good or bad. When Lucien kissed his hands, the blonde boy couldn't help but smile, not even the slightest embarrassed this time.

He moved his hand in Lucien's to entwine their fingers together, Connor turned to Lucien, not really sure what he was doing, but laid a kiss on the other boy's cheek. He had seen couples do that before too, and really, he didn't know if he was supposed to do that, but he felt like that was the right moment for it. Laying his head back on Lucien's shoulder, he shot his back up, "If..you know, you want me to move, I will." Unsure of what he was allowed to do and what he shouldn't do, Connor didn't want to skip steps if he wasn't allowed to.

"I..uhm, I like it when you call me that." Connor said looking at their hands, not wanting to look at Lucien when he said that, feeling slightly embarrassed about something so small. The nickname was just, personal, it made Connor feel happy when Lucien said it.
