Even though this probably wasn't the top ten best ideas Alex has ever had, he knew it was totally worth a shot. If he didn't take it up now, then who know's when he'll get another chance? Moving his hand over his eldest's shoulder, making up an excuse to Casey that they were going out for some bonding time, he knew that his mate was not going to be too pleased when he actually found out what he was doing in Diagon Alley. It was late, which Alex was grateful for, otherwise Maria wouldn't be able to come help him.
Due to his job now, Alex has learned how to be in places without ever being there. He's been tracking how Harry Potter for about two months now. Knowing the teen would be here in about an hour, gave Alex the chills. Only Josh didn't know that that's why Alex was here, he had told his son that they were out shopping for things for the puppy. Toys or whatever Josh thought they would need for their new family friend. This was not the first time Alex was grateful for how much of a Slytherin he would be, his emotions placed carefully behind the fake excitement about spending time with Josh.
While he loved his son, he was on a mission right now. A mission that Josh would be helping him on without ever actually knowing or getting hurt, otherwise Alex wouldn't be open to doing this. Harry freaking Potter, Josh would be over the wall to meet him, and that's what Alex was banking on. Maria should be hiding out somewhere, but Alex hadn't seen her, but really that was the entire point right? She was supposed to be unseen until after Potter's guard was done. Can't really suspect a little kid right? Josh was an eight year old little boy, what damage could he do to set of the Potter radar?
"Alright, puppy stuff. What are we looking buddy? Nothing your sister can't use too though okay?" Alex reminded with a wink, that Josh would need to be fair. That reminded Alex of the other day, when Josh had stepped between his parents and Chelsey. Pulling out his wallet, he held out a few coins in his hand for Josh to take, "I really appreciate you looking for Chelsey the other day buddy. Me and Papa shouldn't have pulled Chels into that, made me real proud of you seeing what a good big brother you can be. You can spend those wherever you want while we're out okay?" Alex was big brother himself, so seeing Josh stand up for Chelsey the other day, protecting her, it made Alex feel guilty for his actions, but he saw how Josh had stepped up. His little boy was going to be a hell of an alpha some day.
