Appearance: Leilani is short, only 5'2''. She is of Hawaiian descent, an exotic beauty, with almond-shaped black eyes, high cheekbones, and creamy skin. Her hair is long, thick, and auburn, the colour probably inherited from her Irish grandmother. She wears four earrings in her left ear, three in her lobe and one in her ear conch. On her back, she has a dragon tattoo that she had done a year ago when she went to Japan right after graduation.

Background of the Character: Leilani was born to the wizards Nalani and Ahe Paradis. Ahe went to Hawaii to search for his roots, having been raised in Great Britain by his parents, Sarah and Kai Paradis. His father Kai had left Hawaii ti marry Sarah and live with her. While in Hawaii, Ahe met Nalani and fell in love. He stayed on the island for a while. During his stay, he married Nalani, and their first son, Kaiko, was born. When Kaiko was two, Ahe's grandmother fell ill and wished for her only grandchild, Ahe, to come home. Nalani and Kaiko came with him, suspecting that this stay might be a bit longer than a holiday. It turned out they were right. Ahe's grandmother died six months later, happy to be with her grandson and his family. She left them her estate near Leicester. Since they had had no own land in Hawaii, Nalani and Ahe decided to stay, suddenly owners of a large estate and a considerable amount of gold. Soon after moving in, Nalani discovered she was pregnant. On September 5th,1979 Leilani and her brother Tua were born. They grew up very sheltered on the estate, taking holidays in Hawaii frequently. When they were eleven, they received their Hogwarts letters. Leilani was sorted into Gryffindor, her brother into Ravenclaw, like Kaiko.
During the war, Nalani was killed and Kaiko was maimed. The rest of the family was badly shaken by the events. Ahe decided to abandon his home in Leicester and returned to Hawaii with Kaiko. Leilani went to train as a healer, hoping to help people, deeply impressed by the healers who saved Kaiko's life. Tua is off to travel the world, wanting to learn about magical creatures.
