Wiping down the counter, James sighed, he wanted to go home, it was late and well, drunks weren't the nicest people. Well not the ones who came to Starry. He was pretty sure Gabe was out with the guys anyway tonight or over at Jaxson's, but he couldn't remember. He just remembered that that when he told Gabe not to wait up, he didn't seem all that put out, so he just figured his partner had plans tonight. He just hoped it wasn't a gig, James would feel like an ass if it was something like that. He hadn't even spoken to Hunter really, but he knew the older man would have taken his shift tonight if James really needed it off.
Humming one of Gabe's songs, James knew very well that he couldn't sing, but this wasn't the place for singing anyway. Humming wasn't really either, but he couldn't help it. He was ready to start closing up, but people kept ordering drinks, and he was the only one working tonight, for the sake of his own safety due to the number of drunk people he knew here, he decided to just stay open until either they left or there was less people in the bar. Yawning, he wished he had gone to bed the night before instead of staying up late to watch those stupid shows on the Telly. Stupid Telly. Why did Gabe have to bring it over?! James used it more than he did, but still!
Pouring himself a drink from behind the bar, James looked around the establishment, it wasn't going to be much longer before he could just buy this place. The money was shit, but he could fix it up if it was his. Hunter would sell it to him, but he needed the money to get it first. Hunter himself never wanted to fix up the place, said it was too time consuming, but James wanted something like that. Nothing too dangerous, but something he could accomplish on his own.
