James wished he knew what to say to make everything okay again, because he wanted the same things Gabe did, but he didn't know when the bloodshed would stop. He didn't know when things would finally end with everything on top as it should be. "Gabe...I don't want to wait. Am I not your family right now? Wouldn't it hurt now if I died? I want this so badly, you want this, don't want you want to do it...in the chance we don't get to?" James knew at any point he could die, it was risk every time he put on his mask, every time he brought out his mark, it was dangerous. Anyone could fire a curse and anyone could kill him, he's only one man despite his training. "I try my best to come to every day, I do, but I can't guarantee anything right now..something big is coming up. If something happens, I want to die knowing I at least had us."
Grabbing Gabe's face in his hands, he kisses him hard on the lips, and moving his kisses to his cheek and neck. "I love you so much Gabe, and I need you just as much as I need air. If I didn't have you..what would I even fight for anymore. If something is bothering you..talk to me. I talk to you about everything, I'm just as much here for you as you are for me." James didn't want Gabe hiding things or shoving the emotion down, it'll only hurt them. While they didn't have the most balanced or the most perfect relationship, but it was good. He didn't want that good to be messed up because one of them got scared. "I'll always be come back to you." He kissed his boyfriend again, making sure to prove his point.
While James couldn't guarantee anything, he could make sure he'd try his damn hardest to do so. He needed to. Gabe needed him too. They're future family needed him to. The younger male wanted to have babies some day, adopt a few kids, have little ones running around to call them 'daddy'. He understood that they didn't want to bring kids into this, James didn't either. "Marry me. Let's worry about babies after we win." James wanted it too much to let it go, he sat holding his boyfriend close to him, with his head on Gabe's shoulder. "This is not how I thought my proposal would go by the way.." James smirked up at him, trying to relax the mood a little.
