Connor had been trying to get caught up on everything in the library until it got so crowded, he decided he was just going to get to his dorm and work there instead. He would probably have to owl his mum about Runes, so that he could get things off at a better start. Connor wished they hadn't left for so long, he was so behind in his school work still, even though he had been working so hard to get caught up. If he passed to get to his 7th year, he would not only be relieved but stunned. With his Defense Against the Dark Arts book stuck up to his face, while walking down the the corridor, Connor glanced up every so often to make sure he wouldn't run into anyone.
So when he looked as he was turning the corner, Connor couldn't be completely blamed when he collided with another person. Connor fell backwards onto the ground, his book hitting him in the chest, and his elbows hit the concrete ground hard enough to hurt. Sucking in a breath between his teeth, he didn't want to make a deal, he looked up to the person he ran into. Oh god, while being someone in his year, it was someone well known. A blush moved over Connor's face as he looked up at Almir, god this was embarrassing. "I'm sorry... I didn't... Uhm.. Sorry." Connor said from the ground, he grabbed his book, closing it in his hand has he moved to sit up.
Almir simply hated the fact that the Gryffindor common room was all the way up. All the interesting stuff was on the Hogwarts grounds. Each time he wanted to practice for quiddich he had to walk all the way down. Which was a good exercise of course but it also took a lot of time which could be invested better. During the spring break he had stayed at school of course. Not to make sure that all his work was done before classes started, no he stayed in school so he could do whatever he wanted. It was not that he purely hated his family, it was just that they gave him the feeling that he could not be himself. Another privilege about Hogwarts, except that he still got schooled for not wearing the uniform in a proper way. Despite that his grades didn’t go all too well, he barely worked on it. Some teachers almost wondered if he even wanted to pass the sixth year. Almir even questioned it himself, he was still young anyway, he won’t turn 17 until August so yeah…Failing would mean that he got two angry parents but it would also mean an extra year of freedom. Because he knew that if he left Hogwarts, he would life with his parents until he had saved enough money to buy his own house. His parents probably will give him limited options of jobs to choose from. Merlin’s beard they would probably even choose the woman he is going to marry.
Rushing through the hallways to the quiddich field to empty his mind, he wasn’t really looking where he was going. Sometimes he had to greet his friends who came across. Before he had noticed, he had ran into another person. Almir managed to stand, he was always quite steady. Only the poor fellow fell to the ground. It didn’t look too comfortable, and Almir decided not to go on until he knew if the boy was going to be okay. As a blush appeared on the cheeks of the other guy, he could not help but think: ‘Darn he is fricking cute. Quick say something witty!’ Lowering himself to offer the blonde boy his hand, he smiled at the unknown boy in a friendly way. “Don’t worry, Cutiepie. I wasn’t looking where I was going. Though this is a little too early to fall for me, isn’t it?” He said with a confident wink as he chuckled at his own joke, knowing how stupid it may have sounded. With his other hand he scratched the back of his head, his thick long brown hair dancing through his fingers. “Sorry ‘bout that, I may have sounded like a dork. Though you are rather cute, how can I haven’t seen you before?” He quickly apologized. Now just taking the hand of the other boy and pulling him up from the ground, he took the book that had fallen on the ground and gave it to the blonde boy. “Here, are you okay? You made quite a smack there because of me. Sorry, mate. Ah I am Almir by the way: Almir Rochester the Great. You may have heard of me, everyone has I think.” He said with a slight shade of fake arrogance as he grinned . Taking the hand of the boy again, he shook it as he introduced himself. “So what do they call you, Blondie?”

Biting his lips together when the other boy called him cute, he didn't want to encourage it, but he couldn't help the blush that deepened on his face either. Connor was sure he looked at like such an idiot, he didn't want to be looked like that. He was little offended by the 'cutiepie' name, because he was a guy and he wasn't a little kid. The blonde didn't want to be called this like that. But really, he couldn't help but smile a when Almir called himself dork. Once he was on his feet, Connor stepped back from Almir, not sure how to react or what to say, that wouldn't come out embarrassingly lame. "I..I'm fine...and it's okay. Like uhm, the dork part. It was..You're cute too." Connor said with a grin, trying to hide how embarrassed he really was.
Yes, Connor knew him, he was the talk with the girls and some of the guys. Almir was the captain of the Gryffindor team, yeah, Connor knew him. He even had a few classes with the other boy, Connor wasn't even offended when Almir didn't recognize him. He was so used to it at this point, blending into the background. He nodded, yes, he knew of Almir Rochester. "I'm Connor...Connor Collins." It was odd to introduce himself with his name sometimes, with the names being so similar, it did sound more like a stage name than an actual person's name. "Thanks...I, just..trying to catch up on homework and stuff...I didn't mean to uhm.. you know, run into you like that."
Almir could not help but chuckle a little was the poor boy turned even redder. There was no denying it, the Blondie was cuter than a bag of kitties. Yet he wondered how he managed to knock over this guy who was obviously taller than he was. Well what gives. Despite that the blushing made the guy even cuter, it would be mean if he pointed it out. The poor fellow would probably get even more embarrassed if he did anyway. His chuckle changed in a rather loud laughter as the other boy said that he was cute too. Cute? Almir Rochester was cute? Like since when? Maybe when he still was a baby but just no.. “Hey don’t tease me dude.” He chuckled as he gave the other boy a friendly soft bump on the back. “I ain’t cute no, not at all. More like manly and sexy.” He grinned as the words came out a little cocky. It was a little bit of joking but Almir was pretty sure that a lot of people shared that opinion. All though he was the one to call himself manly. Others mostly called him cool sexy or handsome. That last one he wasn’t so sure about though.
As the blonde introduced himself, Almir slightly frowned to himself before he concluded things. “Nope, sorry, never heard of you before. Such a shame though a face like yours should not be hidden behind books in the corner of the class.” He actually meant those words and as they were spoken a friendly smile appeared on his face. Merlin's beard, what he just said, was he flirting? Like with a guy, as in the way he usually did with girls? Shit after he had managed to hide it from public for so long. Well only Acer knew, no way anybody else was going to find out about his bisexuality. “I shall try to remember your name. C.C. Sounds kind of cool though. Like I am A.R. I sound like a pirate.” Raising his eye brow a little as the boy, now named Connor said he was studying before they ran into each other. “Man that sounds so boring. Though I actually should be doing the same, I am weeks behind but it is just bah. About the running into each other no problems, bro. Like you are the one that fell. I am still in one piece.” He growled dramatically as he cracked his neck and ran a hand through his thick layer of hair. Deciding that it might not be for the best to hang out in the corridor, he tried to come up with something. “Hey I was about to go to the Quiddich pitch. Wanna come? You seem like a fine guy. Or would you rather do something else. I can take you down to the kitchens to make it up to you for running into you.”

Connor bit the inside of his bottom lip, he wasn't sure what to say to that. Maybe he was supposed to laugh. The blonde forced a half smile though, feeling awkward with the other boy, he didn't want to be mean though by telling the other boy anything though. He was sure that Almir was only trying to be funny, it would be mean to say otherwise. Maybe he should just apologize, he had only meant to return the compliment, but it was obvious that boys didn't really like to be called 'cute'. "I'm sorry.. I wasn't trying to tease you." Connor said to reassure, he even smiled to show he was being honest.
Looking away at Almir's bluntness about never hearing about him, right, Connor really wasn't surprised that the other boy wouldn't know him, but it was an odd feeling to actually hear someone say it to him. His eyes on his book now, he didn't know what to say anymore, not that he knew what to say in the beginning, Connor knew how much of a bookworm he was. He liked to read, he wanted to pass his classes, especially since he had been gone majority of the year. Eyes widening just a little, Connor was amazed about how the other boy could be so rude to him when he hadn't done.. well, he did run into the guy. He couldn't help echo the words out loud, "Uhm..try to remember my name? I, uhm, I can go, it's...uh, yeah, it's no issue." Connor wasn't a hard name to remember, it was common and simple, so he didn't understand the comment. He had apologized to Almir for running into him, and it really hadn't been on purpose. When the other boy asked him to come with, Connor really wanted to say, so you can make fun of me more? But he didn't, because that was mean, and he didn't want to start anything with the popular boy, so he just nodded. The kitchens, he'd rather go somewhere where other people probably wouldn't be. "We..If..if you want to, but you don't have to, uhm..the kitchens if you want?" Connor licked his lips, giving a half smile.
“No no no! Please don’t apologize it is just... ehm... I don’t like it when people say things that they don’t mean. Forget about that, okay.” He apologized without even knowing why. For the first time in a really long time he felt kind of awkward talking to someone of his own age. What made him act like that? Was that because he just wanted to be liked by this boy? He already had many friends like he should not be this special.
Almir had no idea what he was doing or what he was doing. The only thing that he knew was that he was making a fool out of himself in front of this boy he just met. A boy he actually wanted to impress. Wait what? Why was he trying to impress someone? Why did he need to? Like for real people should just like him for who he is. Right? Was he doing that all the time then? Forget about that all he knew was that things were going bad while he didn’t mean to screw up. Maybe he had taken his fake ego a little too far and scared the boy off. Again rushing a hand fiercely through his long hair which almost reached his wished length, he tried to smile again at the boy.
However the smile faded as Connor repeated the words he had spoken himself earlier. As he heard it, the words sounded rude and mean. Totally not what he was meaning to say. “Sweet Merlin no... Okay listen I didn’t mean for it to sound like that. Well it is more like people know I am not the brightest person in Hogwarts and I tend to forget really important things. I know I suck, sorry I am not as cool and perfect as others make me to be. Or what I pretend to be.” He apologized for his awkwardness as he scratched his neck as he tried to look the other boy in the eyes. Why was he doing this, really.... Almir just wished he would drop dead so he would stop embarrassing himself. “Okay Connor, listen up. Every time I forget your name I will buy you a drink. Or something to eat works too. I keep forgetting people their names but I want to remember yours.”
Looking slightly more cheered up as the other boy agreed to come with him to the kitchens. “You do? Good gracious! Wait what? I am beginning to sound like my snobbish parents urgh.. No it is great dude. Maybe we could even bake some muffins. They are not as good as the ones out house elf makes but I would like to try it once.” He kind of squealed making himself look like a 6 year old kid who got offered candy. Grabbing the wrist of the other boy, he wanted to start walking but then he let go. Right he had to keep telling himself that people didn’t like physical contact. “Shall we go then?”

Connor couldn't help but be a little amused, he smiled genuinely after Almir apologized, it wasn't that big of a deal, but it was nice to hear anyway. "It's okay." Thinking the other boy was better when he was actually being nice, well, nicer. "I wouldn't have said it if I didn't think it." Connor said honestly, looking more to the floor than to the boy in front of him. He wondered why Almir was even trying to talk to him, he didn't need to and he had his own friends that probably would be better company.
Nodding as he listened to Almir ramble, he couldn't help but find it cute, and well, normal. Instead of being the macho guy from a few minutes ago, he was being a little dorky about talking to Connor, and Connor hadn't even done anything. Raising an eyebrow, he didn't get the memo that Almir wasn't that bright, but then again, he didn't really get the memo for anything going on at Hogwarts. "It's okay, really. I have faith in you to remember." Connor looked around the hall way, expecting someone to come out or walk by, Connor wasn't in Almir's group of friends, but Connor didn't really know those either. "You want to remember mine." Connor repeated, as if the sentence hadn't happen. Connor broke out in a real smile after that that followed up with a blush again, "Uhm..thank you."
Laughing quietly, shaking his head, Connor listened as Almir started to ramble again, grabbed Almir's arm, trying to calm him down, "You're..rambling." The Ravenclaw's smile didn't ease up, "Okay, sure..I'm..uhm, not a good cook though." Connor couldn't help but feel important, this more attention than he was used to. "You're...it's cute when you ramble." Connor was sure the other boy was flirting with him, but then again, he could be reading in too deep, he just hoped if he was reading into it too much, that Almir would just let it pass by. Other wise he was going to extremely embarrassed.
“It is okay, just... Don’t call me cute, because… I am not okay.” He said, trying to sound very certain of his words. Yet he felt a little embarrassed and wasn’t sure if that was able to being read of his face. It was weird because Almir called people cute very often and when he was complicated with anything but mostly with such things, he just didn’t know how to respond. He was used to Acer saying such things but that was always to tease him and he didn’t take it serious. When somebody else said such things he wasn’t sure how the other person meant with it.
Smiling again when Connor said that it was okay and that he had faith in him. “People should not put much faith in me. I don’t like letting people down. Well I guess that I just shouldn’t then.” He said with a promising tone. Chuckling a little as the blonde boy checked the hallway. “Are you waiting for someone? Your girlfriend perhaps?” He teased the boy and gave him one of his famous winks. “So what kind of girl would you like? I imagine she would be very pretty kind and smart. Or am I wrong. It is fun to know what kind of people others are interested in. Unlike Acer who doesn’t seem to have a preference for anything at all.” He continued the teasing in something more serious. Then he added a little excuse when he realized that he suddenly got interest in what type of girl the Ravenclaw liked. What kind of stupid question was that? “Sorry, just so you know I was teasing you a little. I am not trying to offend you or anything at all. It is just… I don’t know how much you can take of the teasing. My friends and I do it all the time towards each other. But with you it just seems to… I am afraid that I hurt you, so I want you to know that such a thing was never my intention.”
Almir almost found himself quelling as the blonde boy repeated his words smiled, blushed and thanked him. Merlin this person was the most adorable thing he ever met. Were they really the same age? He wanted to hug the boy but that would seem weird because they just met. Connor probably didn’t know about his usual touchy habits among his friends and would probably be scared off.
Feeling something touch his arm, he got pulled out of his ramblings and turned a little red as he looked at the taller boy. It was just a small touch but he didn’t expect it at all so he was a little surprised. But it was a nice surprise, so he smiled at Connor a little sheepishly. “Sorry sometimes I lose myself when I talk about random things.” He apologized, looking the other boy in the eyes. “I cannot cook either but it seems fun to try out. Besides this is baking not cooking.” He joked a little but it both held the truth. Only feeling a little caught off guard when this time his ramblings were called cute. Shaking his head, he squeezed the arm of the other boy tighter. “You meanie.”

Frowning at what was being said to him, Connor didn't understand, he found Almir attractive. "I'm sorry, I guess I don't understand. You don't think you are?" Connor looked at Almir with a smile, shaking his head, "I guess you just need to stand where I am to see what I see." He didn't want to make the other boy feel awkward, but he didn't want him to think badly of himself either. He wondered if the boy really thought that or just being modest about the conversation.
Blushing shaking his head, Connor didn't have a girlfriend, he was just heading back to his dorm when he ran into Almir. He hadn't had a girlfriend, well not a girl one, he was too nervous to ever get out or try to. He would have stopped if he could, but he's never had the oppertunity to really try to. Connor bit the corner of his lip, he was tall and dorky, no girl really looked at him more than what he was right now. "I..no, girlfriend. I don't really, uhm have a preference. I'd want them to be nice I guess, but who wants someone mean? Uhm..I guess I'm open to whatever if a girl wanted to be with me. Or guy I guess. I'm not.. I've never really thought about it." Connor tried to get into school as much as he could, he never really thought about if he started dating. Connor never really saw himself ever getting the nerves to actually ask someone out. Acer, that was the taller boy Almir hung around with a lot. Connor remembered seen him around a lot, he thought of the guy as way too social. "Oh.. well, uhm, I guess I don't understand your joking very well. It's okay though, it was just you trying to be funny."
Pushing Almir's arm lightly, "I'm not mean.." Connor said with a smile, looking down at Almir's hand on his arm, he wasn't sure what to say. He bit the middle of the his bottom lip thinking before came out the shy response, "Do you normally..ask guys to come cook with you?" Connor wasn't trying to be rude, but he wasn't sure if Almir was actually flirting with him or humoring him anymore.
A little bit out of his usual safe play, he now had to answer a question he didn’t want to answer. He had to act cool and keep his goofy grin on but it was a little bit strange. The little it took for the blonde boy to get Almir out of his comfortzone scared him a little. It never happened before but this boy just did it like it was nothing. “Ehm… no I don’t really look at myself in that way. I mean just look at me...” He said, not sure how the other boy could see something cute in him. Most people either thought that Almir was cool or intimidating because of his looks. However he wore these clothes because they made him feel more comfortable. It was not because he wanted to be cool or belong, In fact his taste in clothing made him different but some people just liked that. He didn’t understand why clothes or the way someone looked was important.
Smirking a little at the answer he got from Connor, he ruffled friendly with his hand through the blonde hairs of the boy(even thought he had to stretch a little to reach it). “No need to be so insecure about getting someone. Hey don’t start a relationship because someone wants to be with you but start something because YOU want to be with that person. Just a little friendly advice from uncle Al. It is one of the reasons why I have never started something serious. Also because I can now still enjoy my freedom.” He smiled brightly at the taller boy and let go of his head.
“Dunno, about guys... I tried to focus me more on the girls, I think.” He shook his head. “I guess it is no use anyway, getting a relationship and falling in love. My parents will decide the woman I marry after all.” His voice turned somewhat more distant and he really didn’t like the future he was about to face. First he hadn’t noticed that he had spoken his thoughts to a person he just met. His gaze turned to his own shoes as he felt a little bit embarrassed for letting himself go. Sighing, he looked up trying to turn a cheery grin back on his face. “Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it. And if I say something you don’t like, just say so. I’ll try to prevent saying things to hurt you or anyone. Sorry for my sloppy sense of humor, lad.”
Chuckling a little and feeling slightly free from his usual matters, he enjoyed this. New people brought wonderful things with them and Connor was really unique. “Admit it, you are just as bad as I am.” He said as he tightened his grip for a mere seconds. Hoping that the other boy would be okay with this. As he was asked a question, he shook his head. “Nope you are the first person I asked actually. I guess I just wanted to try something new. Don’t you like discovering and doing new stuff? Besides no one can argue with muffins they are just bloody great.” He said as casual as possible to hide the fact that he just realized what he was doing. The way he acted around Connor was strange and for some reason the whole being of the Ravenclaw was toying with his mind. Yet the blonde hadn’t tried much actually, which surprised Almir quite.
