Coming back from the muggle world, James couldn't be happier to see apartment building. To be able to sleep in his own bed, to be able to see his boyfriend, to be able to eat real food that he hadn't in over a week. James was glad to be home, but he was stupid to think he could walk into his house and assume Gabe is just going to let everything be. Oh no, James knew better than to just take off like that, but he also knew that if James had sat down and spoke with his boyfriend about what he was going to do, Gabe wouldn't have let James go. So James had to do it without talking to Gabe, but now, that he was back, they were going to have to talk. 

Opening the door, somewhat hesitantly, looking around mentally preparing himself for the conversation or fight that was about to happen. Looking at his boyfriend on the couch, James gave a smile, and through his bag on the floor by the door, "Missed you." Walking over to him, he wasn't sure if the conversation would be now or later, but he decided that he would just smile and try to suck up for the time being. "Have a quiet week without me babe?" Sitting next to him, James moved his hands to Gabe's shoulder's. He didn't really want to tell Gabe what he had been out doing, but at the same time, Gabe knew that James was out there doing things that he would never approve of. 

Wanting to take a shower, because right now he smelled and felt like a muggle again and he didn't want that. He wanted to use his own soap smells, his own ways, and feel like himself again. Being out there in the muggle world again, only brought back memories James didn't want to think about. He wanted to focus himself to the present and where he was now. Looking at Gabe, his hands going up from his shoulders and into the back of his hair, "I'm just going to warn you, I'll answer whatever you ask...but you will not like the answers. So, just, be careful what you ask okay? I love you, so I won't lie, but you don't want to know everything." James said quietly, moving his fingers in his boyfriend's hair, trying to keep this as calm as possible.

Gabe had spent the past week worried sick about James. That bastard had only left him a single note and he hadn't heard from him since. Gabe was used to James going away for long periods of time, but for him to say he was on a mission through an owl had really pissed him off. To keep himself busy Gabe had spent the week babysitting Logan and working with his band. He'd even cleaned the house from top to bottom. Gabe rarely cleaned, this was all James fault. 

Now he was sitting on the couch wondering when his boyfriend would come home and just as he was cursing James for the hundredth time the guy walked in and tried to play suck up. Gabe frowned and shot a glare at James. "Yes it was quiet, too quiet and as much as I miss you I'm mad as hell about you just taking it upon yourself to walk away. Yes I said I'd butt out of your work so you'd be able to succeed, but seriously James." Gabe was trying not to snap, but he was upset.  "And as much as I love you, I'm not sure I want to know what you did since you have to warn me," he said in a low growl. He moved away from James and shot him yet another glare.

"Where the hell have you been anyway," he asked. "I want to know everything and for everything I don't like, be warned that you deserve everything I dish out, you got me," he asked. Gabe leaned against the couch. "Get talking."

Blinking a few times, James didn't really know what to say, because Gabe knew what James was out doing, he knew what he stood for, Gabe couldn't keep getting upset about these things. At the same time, most people in this, kept it from their spouse. James didn't want to keep this from Gabe, but if it was going to start fights every time, James wondered if it would have been better. For the both of them. Gabe wouldn't worry, and James wouldn't feel guilty for making him upset. Looking around the house, he noted with amusement that the house was much cleaner than when he left. James normally did the cleaning, but this was well passed his own cleaning. "Did you buy a maid while I was away?" The younger male asked quietly with a smile.

Glaring at his boyfriend, like this was his fault. James wouldn't have even gone off on this if ever didn't doubt every damn thing he did. Gabe didn't think he could handle himself, Ben had just as much faith and then Hunter on top of it. It pissed James right the fuck off, how could no one, see that he was in this because he wanted to be? Because he could handle it? James hated how everyone doubted him, thought he wasn't good enough. When he boyfriend pulled away, he the younger male shook his head, and got up and went to his bag, threw an envelope on the floor by his bag searching for a newspaper. Shoving the white envelope back in his bag of clothes, the paper was already folded to the article, titled, "Couple Dies in Housefire." He tossed it at his boyfriend.

"I went and visited the families that used to bully me and any other kid that had. If it makes a difference to you, I made sure that no kids were around when it happen." James did exactly what he said he would if Gabe asked him, but he didn't want to talk about this. Gabe said he's support him, but this wasn't support. James felt worse telling Gabe about things than he when he didn't have to say anything at all. Licking his lips, wanting to change the topic now, he didn't want to even think about this anymore. "You're not going to like this, because you will never understand this. You got one muggle family that treated you great, guess what? I met a hundred kids in foster care with bad families. Programs, schools, homes, the muggle system is fucked. I wasn't a muggle, yet, because I wasn't, I was the worst there ever was Gabe." Going to speak again, he stopped himself, because it didn't matter. He was getting off topic. "Look, point, I went a solved a few issues. I was better off homeless than I was leaving with them." James meant it too.

"And don't tell me a deserve shit either, I only went because you and everyone else under the damn sun doubts me. Doubts everything I do. If it's not something as basic as my clothes or my hair, it's the way I talk, or it's my job. I went on this because I don't a damn babysitter like you got me with Ben, I don't need you to hold my hand either." James was getting quieter, calming down as he just wanted someone to give him some time of positive feedback. Looking at Gabe's eyes, James sat down on the arm of the couch away from his boyfriend. "If I had never seen a show, and came up to one your band members, and told them, make sure Gabe practices, I don't want getting embarrassed on stage...how embarrassed would you be? On top of that, who am I to judge something I can't see?" James wanted Gabe to understand him, not be angry at him. He loved Gabe with everything he had, he that wouldn't change.

"I know you think I'm this diva bitch, okay. I get it. I'm not stupid, and if you ever call me that I swear to Merlin, I will cut off your balls..." James paused, as if to make his point clear, but at the same time try to lighten up the conversation, "I love you. But you can't get yourself involved in this and judge me for it, when you have no idea what it's like. I will never ask you to fight with me, come with me, or even listen to me, but you can't judge me for it." Swallowing, because he wanted to come to a peaceful agreement, but there was nothing to agree on. James had did what he did, and it could not be undone. It would not be undone.

Accio'ing the envelope from his bag, James held it up to Gabe, "I have another option for us... What I have here, is something you want. I know you do. Because I know how much you like music. It comes with a price though.." Smiling again, sliding down the arm of the couch onto the the cushions on the couch, still keeping space away from his boyfriend in case Gabe was still mad. Keeping the envelope out of reach though, trying to be playful after everything. Because unless Gabe left him, James was always going to be like he was.

Gabe didn't find any amusement in this. All he could feel was anger and disappointment, because the longer he thought about what James was doing, the less and less tolerant he became. When his boyfriend comment on the house being cleaned, he frowned. "I'm not in the mood for jokes." When James went off on him and started talking about how he'd killed a bunch of muggles, Gabe slowly forgot his love for the man before him. His eyes never left the paper and when James stopped talking to speak about a gift, Gabe simply shook his head.

"You're right, I don't need to intervene because you clearly have this. You always have. This is what you want, then do it. I don't have a right to interfere with what you do. I don't have a right to judge you, and I don't have a right to tell you how to live your life. You're a pureblood, a death eater, and you're hell bent on revenge and proving yourself. It must kill you to know that I'm a halfblood that doesn't approve of the things you do, but that's love for you, right?" Gabe was so torn. He couldn't believe James would go this far. He thought he knew the younger male in and out, but he was realizing he was very wrong.

"I don't want your gifts. I just want to go lay down," he said with a sigh. "Congratulations by the way. Nice to know you can kill off a bunch of stupid, defenseless muggles." He got off the couch and walked towards the extra bedroom. "And when you and your Death Eater friends decide you want to wipe out all muggles, I guess you can add my sweet old muggle mother and father who raised me when my halfblood parents gave me up because my pureblood paternal grandfather wanted nothing to do with me and my halfblood maternal grandfather agreed. But what do I know?" He wasn't sure what to do right now. He loved James, but this was too much. No one deserved to die, no matter how evil they were. No one....

Grabbing his own wand, he threw at the back of his boyfriend's head as he walked away. "Merlin, you think you're so perfect." James was near tears, was everyone else more important than him? "There's my wand, by your fucking feet, I can't do magic with it. Not like when I was 8 and it was accidental, when I about a quarter the size I am now, standing up to someone twice the size of you. Those muggles, put bruises on me, that I couldn't hide. Hurt other kids. I wish I was like you okay? I wish I had grown up with parents who gave a fuck about me, okay, I'm sorry I didn't." There was nothing he did that anyone approved of, ever. Was he embarrassed of Gabe? No, he was scared. He scared every day someone would find out that Gabe was a halfblood, that his boyfriend wasn't pure. Hunter didn't even know.

"I should have never told you. You don't care about me, let alone my past. You do whatever the fuck you want, but those muggles you want to protect so badly, hurt more kids than I know about. But who cares right? They're innocent muggles. Defenseless. I was 5 when I got my first black eye, I was 8 when I got my first broken bone, I wasn't defenseless at all. Nor were any of the others." It wasn't like James went to all the families, he went to all the ones who hurt him. Who hurt the other kids he was with. "We're adopting a little girl. Imagine her covered in bruises or broken bones. Imagine her scared out of her mind to speak up, because no one cares what foster care kids think. They never will. I stopped them, so you can make me the bad guy if it makes you feel better, I really don't care." James lied, he cared more than enough. He wanted Gabe's love more than he wanted air, he just wanted to act like this wasn't happening. Like his relationship wasn't falling apart. He wanted to break down, he wanted to grab his boyfriend and apologize over and over until he lost his voice.

Knowing without Hunter or Gabe, James wouldn't be anything. He'd have nothing to fight for, nothing to live for. Hunter was angry at him and Gabe thought of him as dirt. He wanted the world to swallow him up right there. "Everyone thinks so little of me, because I'm not enough. Ever. Not you for Hunter, not for you, so yeah, I needed something to prove myself. To me." James had more hate for himself than he needed, the more and more disapproval he was getting, the more weak he was getting. How did someone continue on like that? Blinking, so he didn't start crying, he just put his hands up. Sometimes he wondered if he should have ever told Gabe what he did, they'd never fight and Gabe would never be upset. James would have to shoulder it on his own, and he could. He had in foster care, when he had issues he never spoke up, what difference would that be now? Instead of bruises for talking, Gabe would just leave you instead.

Tossing the envelope on the couch, with the concert tickets inside, James stormed out of the apartment, slamming the door behind him. Without his wand with him, he was forced to walk and not apperate.

When the wand hit him in the back of the head, Gabe turned and shot James another glare. "Go have a pity party somewhere else," he said simply. "You want to whine and cry and throw a fit because I don't like what you do. You should be grateful that I even stick around. And yes, we're adopting a kid, but we don't have to worry about her not speaking up because she wouldn't go through that situation. You think you're changing the world by killing people, think again, you're just stooping to their level. You say I don't care about you then why am I still here James? Why don't you stop being so self centered and think some time." He then turned away as James started to storm out.

Gabe shook his head and closed the bedroom door behind him as he took a seat on the bed. He's so damn stupid. It has nothing to do with the way he acts or talks or dresses. No one gives a damn about that. It has everything to do with how reckless he is. He's so damn stupid.... Gabe paced the room and the little picture of him and James that sat in a frame on the nightstand suddenly went flying across the room. The glass shattering as it hit the wall. "To hell with him. He doesn't want a babysitter then fine. He wants to kill people, then fine. Do as you please, see if I care." Gabe flopped down onto the bed and shook his head. James was an idiot.

Right now he didn't care to think about where James was going or what he was doing. If the guy went to the bar or to Hunter's, Gabe wouldn't chase after him. He liked the house without James anyway.

Storming out of the apartment, he went down the stairs and stood there at the end of the hall. He didn't want to go to Hunter's and he didn't want to walk around, so instead he just slid along the wall and on to the ground. You should be grateful that I even stick around. James buried his head in his arms and wrapped them around his knees, wanting to just disappear. Wishing he had never told Gabe anything he had done, wishing he could just rewind time and just stop himself from ever admitting anything. Would him and Gabe even be together if James had kept it from him?

So much for getting married. So much for understanding. James heard footsteps approach him, he looked up and watched the stranger walk by him. The women had a curious look on her face and for a moment, James thought she was going to stop and talk to him. She didn't, with another look to him, she unlocked her apartment and went inside. James knew he was making a scene to whoever walked by, but where else could he even go? Drinking would only make this worse, Hunter was mad at him, and even then how could James go anywhere without his wand? Did he even have a choice?

The girl who went into her apartment peaked her head out again, before going back in and closing the door. James starred at the door confused, what was with the girl? James wiped his eyes, trying to stop the tears from coming, when a guy came out from the girl's apartment. He was bigger than James, but that wasn't hard to do with his 5'10 size. He walked up to James, "Man you gotta go, your freaking people out crying out here. How'd you even get in here?" James glared at the guy, not knowing who he was nor did he care, he wasn't hurting anyone and he wasn't being loud. He was sitting here, who the fuck did this guy care? But he wasn't going to start a fight, so he just turned his head the other way from him. Silently telling the guy to leave him alone. What James didn't really expect was the guy to grab his arm, James pulled away and glared at him, "Don't fucking touch me." 

Getting up, James went to move away from the guy and just go back upstairs, when the guy grabbed him again, but more roughly, "No you need to leave. Bothering people ups-" James kicked the guy's side, to get him off, he wasn't going to boss him around. "Get the fuck away from me!" The guy just grunted and grabbed for James again, this time his feet and James lost his balance hitting his head on the metal of the stairs. When there was a wand pointed at him suddenly, "Look, you need to leave now."

Gabe didn't care that he was having to wait for James to calm down or whatever the hell his idiot boyfriend was doing. The entire house was quiet and that was nice. He didn't miss James, he didn't care what happened to him, and he sure as hell didn't care that James was carelessly throwing his life on the line for a stupid ass cause that made no sense. As the time passed Gabe became annoyed with laying down so he decided that he'd go to a bar or something. Grabbing his jacket he started out of the door, pausing as he heard a commotion.

The scene that occurred before him put Gabe in a rage that could have ended up with him cursing the hell out of the guy who was fighting with James. Gabe clenched his jaw. Before he knew what he was doing he was he was starting towards Jame's assailant without hesitation. The second he slugged the other guy, Gabe didn't stop. His knee shot upwards towards the guy's gut and then he aimed a second punch to the opposite jaw. It was act now, as questions later. He was in a blind rage. It didn't even occur to him that the guy had his wand out. No, he just had to protect James. That was all that mattered.

By the time he was done, he was panting. "I dare you to point your wand at him again. I'll break your fucking neck. Just try me." He was mad at James, but that didn't mean he wouldn't protect him. He glanced at his boyfriend. "Are you okay?"

James didn't know what he could do with the guys wand pointed at him. It was a mere curse away from James being injured, so how could he act first? When he heard footsteps from upstairs coming, James hoped his knew who it was. His head was pounding due to the metal of the stairs, he could feel the rush of the pain now in the back of his eyes. He watched Gabe was blurry vision, it looked like they were fighting, but the more James tried to focus, the more his head started to hurt.

Groaning in pain and in a daze, James had been pulled down to the metal. He didn't just fall, the guy had pulled his body down and the back of his head had smacked hard into the iron stairway. He knew he should tell his boyfriend to stop, but really, he didn't want to. Watching the two fight was flattery to James, watching his boyfriend defend him. The guy was getting the piss beaten out of him, the guy had lost his wand during the knee to the stomach. James hadn't noticed, trying to shut his eyes and will away the possible pain of a concussion. The guy had given up, realizing that the guy must live here. He held up his hands, not wanting to fight anymore, "My girlfriend was creeped out by the weirdo crying in the hallway." The guy put one hand on the wall, to keep himself steady after the hits he has just endured. The guy looked between the two, before he just grabbed his wand and went back to the apartment he had come from.

Slowing opening his eyes, James looked at his boyfriend still hurt and pissed off, but also in pain. Was he okay? No. "I hit pretty hard..." James wasn't sure if he was okay, but he did know that his eye sight and the pounding of his head was not okay. "Everything is...blurry.." The younger man was unsure, and his voice showed that. One thing for sure though, he didn't want to go to St Mungos.

Gabe gave a small huff. "Well that's my boyfriend you're calling a creep," Gabe replied with a frown. He almost swung again, but he let the guy go. When James claimed he was okay, Gabe shook his head. "You might have a concussion, let's get you to St. Mungos." He hated that he had to play babysitter when he was pissed off at James. He lifted the guy to his feet without much care, showing he wasn't over James' little stunt and started for the hospital. "Don't think I've forgotten what you did. I only saved your ass because I love you."

He looked at James. Killing, that's what James did. murdering people who just didn't deserve death, no matter how cruel they were. Gabe couldn't put it together. He couldn't imagine killing anyone. He sighed. He loved James, he really did, but this was too much for him. He closed his eyes as he walked. He didn't want to apperate in case it made things worse.
