The Blind Date

Dean stepped into Weasleys Wizard Wheezes, acutely aware that any of the girls here could be the one he was supposed to be on a date with. He had been set up on a blind date, and was nervous. 

He wandered around the store for a bit, trying to assess each girl and see if he could figure out which one was his date. Finally, he gave up and walked over to the window where they were supposed to meet.

Taking a deep breath, she wasn't really sure what to think of doing this. After Acer and her talked, her told her she wanted to set her, it was awkward, because she understand that Acer was a playboy. Was his friend the same way? Taking a breath, she fixed her hair once again, trying to make it as good as possible. Licking her lips she wanted inside the building, looking around for a boy her age, she quickly realized they should have picked a less crowded place. There tons of boys here her age, letting out a breath, she looked over to the window, Puplia starred at the boy for a moment, before finally telling herself she needed to walk over there.

Standing in front of him, she smiled as friendly as she could mange, because she was a little nervous. "Hello, I'm Puplia...Uhm, am I supposed to be meeting you? Dean right?" Puplia hoped that this was him otherwise she was going to making a huge fool of herself.

"Hi, nice to meet you. Yes I am Dean. Honestly, I didn't really think you would show up." Dean was starting to get nervous. This girl was actually very attractive. He wondered why he had never seen her around the castle. Dean glanced around the place. "It's really crowded in here, don't you think?" Dean said. He felt the urge to do something really spectacular to impress this girl, something Dean almost never did.

Taken back only a little, why wouldn't she show up? Was there something about this guy she didn't know? That made her a little nervous, or maybe he was just nervous like she was. Puplia smiled and shook her head, "No, I came. I thought that maybe I was gonna trip over myself with nerves. I hope you don't...Don't take offense, but are you anything like Acer?" Puplia didn't want to be rude and say, that she wasn't going to waste time with another play like Acer, just because they were closer in age. "It's crowded...everyone is stalking up, you know? Gotta get everything for the summer sales before school starts up again." Puplia laughed quietly, thinking about the one time she used the puking pastilles to get out of the exam she didn't study for.

"Hahaha, do you mean am I an irresponsible playboy? No I'm not. I'm the one who tries to keep Acer out of trouble." Dean replied. "Although, it's much harder now that he is out of school." Dean wasn't surprised that she had thought he would be just like Acer. Most people did just because they hung out. But Dean knew he was the responsible party for every situation and he knew he could handle any problems. "So, tell me a little about yourself. How do you know Acer?"

Puplia was relieved to hear that, even if he was lying, it showed that at least he understand that the playboy's ways weren't good. She laughed a little, that was the more blunt way of putting it. Puplia pushed her back again, attempting to keep the way it was made to look before she left her house today. "You're a year behind me right? I mean..When we got back to school, I don't think I've seen you in my classes.." She did try to think back if they did have any classes together, but it didn't seem like it, at this point she hoped not so that she didn't sound conceded for not noticing.

She snorted, "What girl didn't know who Acer was? He was the guy with a beware I cause trouble sign over his head." Thinking about this, she moved her feet nervously, "Uhm, I like to study herboloby and magical creatures... I'm the anti-Slytherin Slytherin.." Puplia smiled a little, trying to make herself more impressive, because she was embarrased about her interests. "What about you? You look like a sports guy."

"I am a little bit. I like to play quidditch, but the main reason I look this way is because I practice muggle martial arts. It's basically like dueling, except with punches and kicks. I figured it might be good to know in case I get into a situation where magic wouldn't be of much use. Anyway, my favourite classes are defence against the dark arts, charms, transfiguration, and care of magical creatures. Oh, and I'm in gryffindor. I hope that isn't a problem." Dean was being totally sincere. He didn't care that she was in slyrherin. He really liked this girl and hoped she didn't care he was in gryffindor.

Puplia listened, she smiled about the fact that Dean offered more information than she did. Was that intentional? Maybe she should have said more. "Wow, you do a lot. I don't know a lot of muggle stuff..so it's like training? Like muggle fight training? That..well, I guess since we're under age learning things like that could come in handy..I mean, I like to duel in school, but I can't use magic still next year." She wrinkled her nose, Puplia wished that she was of age now, she wanted to use magic when she wanted and how she wanted.

"Nope, you being a Gryffindor and if we work out, I know it'll never be boring." She teased a little, then looked around the store, she hummed to herself, "Wanna check out some of the stuff they have here?"

"Sure! I do need to get myself some more Peruvian instant darkness powder." Dean said. So far, this date was going much better than he had expected. This girl seemed to be genuine, a quality Dean didn't see in a lot of people. He could tell she was someone special.

Grabbing Dean's hand, she pulled him down the isles, "I wanted to check out some of their stuff, their always coming out with more stuff and it's always neat. Maybe they'll have stuff some time for the turning invisible, after hearing about the love potion, that was a hit. Did you ever see it in action?" Puplia picked up the bottle from the pile in the middle of isle, she thought it would have been awesome to see it in action.
