"Ahhhhhhhhh!" Chelsey screamed as she ran away from Josh's bedroom, she ran to the first person she saw and jumped on Casey who was on the couch. "Josh is gonna cut my pony tails off!! Papa don't let him!" Chelsey started to grip her Papa's shirt shaking it, because this was a serious situation! She couldn't loose her pigtails! They were pretty and in braids, if Josh cut them off than how was she gonna ever show her face at the next tea party?

Taking it to the next level of using Casey as a shield, she moved her body to the side of Casey, and tried to burrow herself behind him. There was no way hosay that Josh was going to cut her hair.

Casey had just finished cleaning the whole house with no magic. It was his day off and he just got around to sitting about when he heard screams from the the directions of the bedrooms. He groaned. Chelsey and Josh were at it again and Alex wasn't home for the moment. He didn't have to wait long to see his 6 year old daughter run towards him and tell him what was wrong. Casey sighed as he picked her up and placed her on his lap. "Sweety, what have I told you about screaming inside the house?" he asked her softly. This was getting to be a normal occurrence... far too much for his liking.

"Josh won't be cutting your hair, sweety. Do you really think your daddy and I would let him?" he asked her once more, reassuring Chelsey that her blond curls were safe on her head.

Chelsey pouted for a second, but got her sassy self right back on, not pulling the same tricks she does with daddy. "But this is a serious matter Papa! He. Is. Going. To. Cut. My. Hair." Putting her hands on her hips while sitting on her Papa's lap, she needed him to understand, "This is a matter of certain deaf(death)!" When her Papa told her that Josh wouldn't be allowed to, it was nice to hear, "No! You bener(better) not! I'll cut your hair then! And you'll have no hair too!" Chelsey said as if that was the answer to all her problems, she wasn't even allowed to use scissors without Daddy or Papa watching her.

Peaking out from behind her Papa after she hide behind him, "I'm gonna but his books in the toilet!" Chelsey whispered as if Josh was going to just pop up somewhere.

Casey had to bite his tongue to stop himself from laughing. The pout on his daughter's lips was so adorable. And the seriousness of her look was just too much! "Listen to me, sweetheart. Josh won't be cutting your pretty hair. He knows that it will get him into trouble if he did. So be happy to know that he will never cut them because he can't." Casey told her softly. He then chuckled when she said it was a matter of life and deaf! Oh dear Merlin! Where was Alex when funny moments came.

"Sweetheart, your daddy loves my hair the way it is. So cutting it would make him angry. Do you want to make daddy angry?" he asked her with a look. He also made a mental note to hide all the scissors and cutters in the house just in case.

Casey chuckled this time, "Sweetheart, if you do that, Josh will do something back and you know it. And you'll get punished for damaging his book. Didn't we tell you that if Josh did anything, you are to come to daddy or me and we'll take care of it? Do you remember?" he reminded her. Casey knew full well that it books get ruined, it would be a battlefield inside their home.

"Stop laughing! Why are you laughing! Ugh Paaaaappaa! You hafe to listen!" Chelsey was getting frustrated, she understood that Josh couldn't, but she also understood that she was being laughed at. This was not a game here! "Grown up always laugh at me." Chelsey crossed her arms, these people just did not understand her, it was kid eat kid world here.

Chelsey couldn't help but start giggling, she had never seen her Papa without hair before. Her Daddy cut his hair all the time, and it was short all the time, but her Papa's hair was never short. "You'd look funny with no hair. Can I play with your hair? Plese? Daddy will love it even more!" Chelsey said getting excited changing the topic to her new train of thought. That she ignored the rest of what her Papa was saying about Josh and his books and the toliet and telling.

Casey shook his head. "I'm not laughing, sweetheart. I'd never laugh at you. And I am listening." he told her as he tried to reassure her that she had his attention. Casey then sighed, "We don't laugh at you, Sweetheart. We are just glad that your growing up so fast." he said as he smiled. Chelsey was indeed growing up fast. Too fast for Alex's liking though.

He laughed this time, along with her. "Yes, I would probably look funny if I go bald. And no sweety. Why don't we just leave my hair the way it is and let's take care of yours? Your curls are getting curlier now." he said as he stirred the subject away from him. It was not a good idea to have his six year old daughter play with his hair. He didn't even want to know how it would end.

"Please Papa? Please pleas peas pease peeeeeeeeeease!" Chelsey wanted to play with her Papa's hair, she didn't have anyone else's hair to play with. Josh and Daddy's hair was too short, and Daddy wasn't even her. "Daddy would say I could!" Chelsey wasn't even sure if that was true or not, but she said it hoping that her Papa would change his mind.

Chelsey started to bounce on her Papa's lap, impatiently, "I have lots of stuff I can put in your hair and it'll be pretty and you hafe too Papa!"[/b]

Casey mentally groaned. No. He can NOT have Chelsey play with his hair. "Sweetheart, I have work to do and I'm only taking a short break. Why don't you play with your doll's hair. They need you to take care of them you know." he suggested, trying to move the thought from his hair to the toys. "And I don't think my hair needs anything pretty right now, sweetheart. It's tied back because that is what I need to make sure its kept well." he reasoned with her. The mere thought of having CLIPS and RIBBONS in his hair was a big fat NO.

"Mummy lets me do it! She's not here so you have to do it!" Chelsey was finally close to having a tantrum, because Josh was mean and threaten to cut her hair and now her Papa didn't even want to play with her. "Fine your a butthead!" She yelled getting off her Paps's lap, she knew that she wasn't allowed to name call but she didn't even care! Everyone was being mean to her today! She didn't want to do her dolls hair, it wasn't real! It wasn't fun to do it all by herself either.

Casey bit his lower lip. It didn't REALLY hurt when Chelsey spoke of Lynn. It was just that being compared to the woman was something Casey knew he'd ever win against. When Chelsey got down, he sighed. His answer would still be a no. "I'm sorry sweetheart. Papa just has so much work to do and I need to finish them all before tomorrow." he tried explaining. Where the Hell was Alex!!!

He didn't even say anything when she called him the name she usually called Josh. His answer was still no.
