Josh hugged his papa and climbed on his lap. He looked at the photos that were glued on. Then Chelsey was picked up by their dad and he smiled. He was surprised that papa got her to sit still and help him. Must have definitely been a plot for something. "Papa! guess what?! Dad took me flying! Then he taught me how to fly on the beginner's broom. Soon, we can play and I'll beat dad. It'll be you and me against dad and Chelsey." Josh said, keeping his promise to not say anything to his papa.

Casey nodded and kissed her forehead once more before turning to Alex and welcoming him with a kiss. Chelsey pointed at the work they managed to finish and he chuckled when Alex teased him. "I need them finished before six or the Chief will have my head." he said as he then held Josh who sat in his lap next. Casey chuckled when Chelsey told Alex about what she planned to do with his hair and Alex apologizing for seeing Casey before the torture happened.

He then turned to his little genius and listened. "Wow, seems like you enjoyed your day. Anything else happened? Did your dad make sure you were alright? No bruises no cuts? You didn't fall right?" he inquired instantly top make sure that the child was alright before looking at Alex with the 'Something else happened, I know it' look.

"I'm sure Papa will let you mess with his hair after he's done working then." Alex said nodded as Casey explained that he needed to get it done, he understood that, he'd occupy the bouncy six year old until then. Looking to Josh, he gave him a thumbs up when he was talking telling Casey everything, it was quick, so it was gone before Casey even turned around.

Grinning like he had no idea idea what Casey was thinking, "Yeah Case, this kid is a natural. I told him I'd take him out more." Alex jumped over the look, ignoring it, knowing he'd just have to answer questions later. He'd have a better story by the time Casey came around to questioning him. "I'll go make dinner than if you two haven't eaten yet, let you finish this up." Alex gave Casey a pointed look at the papers, knowing Casey was more than able to glue everything down with no issue. He even gave a pointed look to the wand, "If you promised her, you'd better hurry up." The playfulness in Alex's voice was obvious and he would not be saving his mate from this one.

[Chelsey Lynn Andrews]

"Daddy I wanna go flying! How come Josh got to go flying!? That's not fair!" Chelsey said to whine, not liking that she had to stay home and Josh got to do fun stuff. She pouted against her Daddy's chest, "See Papa! Josh gets to everything." Chelsey kicked her legs, wanting to be put down now that she was mad. When her Daddy put her down, she ran to room slamming the door, even Daddy was being mean to her now!

She didn't see the confused and hurt look at Alex's face when the door slammed, nor did she see the confused look Alex gave Casey.

Josh sighed as he knew his papa would fuss over him. "I'm fine, papa. Dad took extreme care of me. He wouldn't even let me go high up without him looking." he said as he shrugged. Then Chelsey said she wanted to go flying too. What confused him was when Chelsey said he got to do everything. What did she mean by that? He looked to his dad the to his papa who was just as confused as him. "Papa, what did Chelsey mean? Do everything?" he asked, wondering what he and his dad just missed while they were out.

Casey sighed in relief when Josh said he was alright and smiled at Alex. He was glad that both were able to spend some time together. But the Chelsey wanted to go flying ad Casey's heart fell instantly. He knew where this was going and he was right. Chelsey yelled and ran to her room. Casey sighed heavily. "When you guys were out, Chelsey said that Josh got to do everything he wanted when all he really did was read in his room. Chelsey wanted to play but you weren't around and I had work." he began to explain as he patted his son's head.

"Then just now, you took Josh flying and she thinks that Josh gets to do everything he wanted while she doesn't. You need to talk to her and make her see it isn't true because I doubt she'd believe me if I told her... I'll make diner in five minutes." Casey said as he grabbed his wand, waved it over his work, ad the photos glued themselves on the parchments and the names appeared on them. The next five seconds, the parchment dried and rolled up. the family owl was there ad Casey tied it to its leg before it took off.

[Alex Dean Andrews]

Alex's confused look didn't change when Casey explained thing to him, he looked at Josh, "Hey Buddy why don't you get changed into more comfortable clothes?" He wanted to talk to Casey alone for a second, not wanting Josh to hear him, he hoped his eldest would do as he asked without trouble. Alex understood he would have to talk to Chelsey, but other than slamming the door, he didn't understand what he should be talking to her about.

Waiting for Josh to do as he asked, he raised an eyebrow at Casey, "What do you mean you needed to work? You just did that in less than two minutes Case." Alex frowned, if it really was about Chelsey wanting to play with his hair, Alex was going to get really pissed, really fast. "If anyone needs to go to talk her, it's you. I just got home, you've been here all day with her." Alex knew with every part of him that Casey would be there for his kids for anything, they weren't even just Alex's kids anymore, they were Casey's too. So this small thing, it bothered him why Chelsey was pushed aside like that.

Sitting against Casey's desk, he moved his legs against Casey's, trying to be as reassuring as he could be without showing he wasn't upset, because he was. "I'll make dinner, you go fix it." Alex didn't know what do with Chelsey, but he'd have to talk to her eventually if Casey couldn't work it out with his-their youngest.

Josh knew when he was being dismissed. His dad worded it carefully and he just nodded. Whatever happened, Josh wasn't going to comment on it or his dad would punish him for it. He hugged his papa once more and jumped down and ran to his room and change. There was a book he needed to finish reading anyway.

Casey saw through Alex's 'suggestion' for Josh to change. He was being set to his room to give them space to talk. When Josh was gone, Casey sighed, knowing Alex was right. "Earlier, I manually cleaned the whole house. I actually planned to work with my hands and with magic. Chelsey came running to me and asked me to play with her. I told her I was just on break before I go back to working the she pouted. She yelled that we allow Josh to do everything and not her. After I told her it wasn't true, she demanded you come home. When I said you couldn't, demanded next to have me owl Lynn and have her come over since Lynn plays with her all the time." Casey stopped as he took a deep breath.

"I didn't mean to but I said that Lynn doesn't work to pay for our house, clothing, and food. Chelsey said she was sorry and decided to help me. You know I don't like using magic when it came to work. I need to make sure they are perfect so the Chief wouldn't nag me for working at home instead being at the office. As long as I make no mistakes, I can work from here without him nagging. That is why I am always careful when I work." Casey said as he stood up and didn't bother to say anything else. He had a little girl to talk to because Alex couldn't see it from Casey's point of view.

[Alex Dean Andrews]

"Casey your not a maid, I don't expect you to clean everything all the time. I don't expect you to not work, but she's six Case and she's not like Josh. Why do you think she gets most of my attention, I..okay, look, next time you have work to do, I'll just take her. I'm sorry I left her here when you were busy." Alex looked outside the office really quick to see if the kids were still out of hearing range, before he turned back to Casey, when he heard that Chelsey had brought up Lynn, he knew that hit his mate pretty hard. He nodded, "Okay, I'll talk to her. She shouldn't be saying things like that, but you know she doesn't mean anything by it. You know she loves you Case."

Even though Alex understood his daughters want for her mother, she couldn't go around saying things like that. He didn't want tension between the two, Chelsey was his baby and Casey was his world, he couldn't have something between the two of them. Sighing, "Casey, with magic or without magic, did you really expect her to be content by herself? Come on boy genius, you know better than that." Alex said smiling, he didn't want to upset Casey, but Casey was the adult between him and Chelsey. Casey understood limits a lot more than Chelsey did. "Josh and you can sit here reading and have no issue, me and Chelsey can't do that, it's not her job to work with that. I'm not saying let her throw glitter in your hair or anything, but something you know? She would have been fine just making dinner with you."

Standing up, he'd let his mate finish his work, he'd go talk to Chelsey. She needed to understand that she couldn't act up with her Papa either.
