It's a Date :Lucien:

Connor blushed as Lucien kissed his hand, only for it to deepen when he started talking. Oh god, what where they doing? "Uhm, Oh Merlin..I, it's okay. Really, it's just a place to stay for the night, I mean...It's, no problem." Connor didn't even know what to say, he's mind had gone out the window when Lucien kissed his hand, pulling his hand back biting his lip, he put it down in his lap.

What did who eat? Oh, right, "Pizza! It's an Italian place, it's just basics, uhm, I'll just.." Connor waved his hand up in the hair to flag down a waitress, when she came over he smiled at her, trying to pretend that he wasn't just blushing like mad 20 seconds ago. "Can we just have two sodas and two waters please?" Connor looked back to Lucien, wanting to talk to him about the food before they ordered.

The blush on Connor's face was beautiful. He had never seen anything more lovely that the blush before. "My eternal thank you... Cherub." he said as he allowed Connor to take back his hand. A pity since Connor's hand fit perfectly with his own. Watching Connor try to gather himself was also amusing as well which made Lucien chuckle a bit.

Pizza? He knew pizza. He had it a few times when he had gone to Milan with his mother when he was younger. "Pizza with everything on top minus anchovies." Lucien said as he smiled. The waitress came and Connor ordered them drinks. Soda? What is a soda? He would asked when the lady was gone. "A plate of lasagna and a basket of garlic bread as well." he ordered, thanking his working brain to bring what little muggle money he had in secret.

"Small pepperoni pizza too please, thank you." When the waitress walked away, Connor took a breath trying to ease himself out, before he looked up at Lucien again. "I have it covered, since you've never been in the muggle world I didn't think you'd have the money. So don't worry about that." The blond smiled, not wanting Lucien to worry about the wizarding money to muggle money, he just figured that he wouldn't have it.

"You..Uhm, you're, you very nice." Connor didn't know what else to say about what had happen before, so 'nice' was the only word he could think of. "Maybe uhm, you know, if you want to, uhm, is this a date? Because I don't know what I'm doing.." Connor finally came out and said it not wanting to stress anymore, he had no idea how to act on a date.

When both had ordered, the waitress left but batted her lashes at Lucien before she left. Lucien paid her no mind at all. All he saw was Connor. He then chuckled as the other said that he got it covered. "Just because I don't go out, doesn't mean I didn't come prepared. I did. I managed to save a little whenever my parents and brother's took me out. I exchange galleons for muggle money just in case the day came for me to break out on my pris--house." he corrected himself before the word 'prison' was completed. He the fished out his flat wallet and gave it to Connor. "I do hope that I brought enough, yes?" he asked, hoping he did. Lucien was a bit naive when it came to muggle related topics and things. Inside his wallet was around five thousand euro's in cash as well as about two thousand American dollars.

When Connor said he was nice, he chuckled. "Thank you. You, on the other hand, your kind and caring. You worry even if it is not yours to do so." he complimented. Lucien had to bite his lower lip to stop himself from laughing. "Connor, relax. Like I said, I've never been on a date as well so we both are on the same boat. I don't know what happens on dates as well but we'll take it slow. Slow and steady. We'll see what works for us and what doesn't. Deal?" he suggested with a smile. Connor was worried that he wasn't about to show Lucien a good first date. Lucien was worried about it as well but managed to keep it all together.

Looking over Lucien's money, he raised his eyebrows looking back to Lucien, if he had no idea how much he had, he was going to making a fool of himself paying. That could be dangerous here. "Uhm, why don't you just pay me back if you really want to..You have plenty." He had a lot more money than Connor did that was for sure, feeling slightly embarrassed about it now, Connor went to change the topic away from money.

"I, I don't know, it's just, if you need help and I can help you, I don't see why I shouldn't. I mean, it would be awful if I didn't. What if I needed help someday and no one wanted to help me? I wouldn't want someone feel like that, so it's..really, like," Connor shook his head, thankful that the waitress had come by to interrupt him. She said down the the drinks, turning her to Lucien with a flirtatious smile, "You've never been here before have you?"

Connor couldn't help but feel a little out of place, he wasn't a flirt, but he knew what flirting looked like. And the waitress was definitely flirting with Lucien, Connor just looked down at his water, not really sure what to do right now.

Lucien tilted his head a bit and looked confused. "Alright then. I'll pay next time then." he agreed but was still confused why Connor was a bit weird looking as well. But Lucien then proceeded to move on the next topic since Connor seemed to embarrassed a bit. Did he bring TOO MUCH instead of TOO LITTLE? Lucien would have to learn later on.

Then Connor spoke ad Lucie listened intently. He smiled as he listened to the other talk. Connor's voice was smooth and soft. It was soothing. "Like I said, I am in your debt Connor. More than you know." he told him before the waitress came. He didn't like how the waitress looked at him but he paid her ow mind. "Yes, but I'm glad that I came here as a first date with my cherub. Italian food is always a good first impression." he said as he smiled encouragingly at Connor. He saw the look on his Cherub's face and he didn't like it.

The waitress gave them their orders and left with a huff. "As if she'd amount to anything compared to you, cherub." he said as he huffed as well.

Blushing again, Connor looked away from Lucien, where the hell had this boy even come from? Connor was not used to this much attention at all, he wished he had better responses and things to say to Lucien without making a fool of himself. "It's just a diner, there stuff isn't even that much, really. I.." Connor frowned when Lucien's attention went to the flirting waitress, but he did end up hiding his face in his hands when Luicen spoke again. "Seriously...I think I'm just gonna be a permanent tomato by the time I get home." The blond mumbled with a smile.

Just shaking his head, Connor couldn't help but feel good around Lucien, the other boy made him smile a lot. And blush. A lot. Ugh. Either way, it was a good feeling though. So he did something on his own, he moved his hand to Lucien's holding it intentionally, "Thank you."

Lucien was so amused when Connor blushed once more. It was all too cute really. It was a bit of a surprise that Lucien was able to make the other blush the way he did. When the waitress stormed off, he smirked as she left. Then he smiled at Connor. "Dinners are usually first dates right? Besides, Italian pizza for the first time is a good impression. Everyone loves a little bit of Italian every now and then." Lucien encouraged. He wondered in his mind who was leading. Was he the submissive? Of course not. Lucien was soft not submissive. He then chuckled again when Connor commented about himself being a tomato. "You'd be the most delicious tomato then, Cherub." Lucien teased.

Then to his surprise, Connor reached for his hand and held it. Lucien squeezed it a bit and smiled. "You're welcome.... So tell me about yourself. I think I manage to spill most of my life story to you within an hour. Your turn." he asked and smiled.

Not knowing what to say, Connor didn't think he had a lot to say about himself. Thinking about it, he played the straw in his drink, "I, uhm, I'm not sure. I mean, I like to read a lot. I do a lot of studying on my own, I had to do a lot to catch up last year. My parents took me and my sister out of school, they didn't want to be apart of the war. So when I came back, I had nearly an entire year worth of schooling to get through in 3 months. I got it done though, my dad was pretty cool about it. Said if it didn't he'd understand, but like..oh god, I'm talking a lot. I'm sorry. I don't really do much." Connor didn't mean to go into a ramble, but there wasn't a lot to tell without a story really. So it was odd talking to Lucien, he was nice and made him feel good a lot, but it unnerving because he didn't' know what he was doing.

Even though Lucien said this was his first date too, he had a lot better of an idea of what to say and do than Connor did, that's when it hit him. He groaned, rubbing his palm to his forehead, turning to Lucien with an amused smile, "You know with people who go out of the same gender, there's always the question of 'who's the girl' or 'who's the guy'? I just realized..if this is a date, I'm the girl."

Lucien then leaned back on his seat and listened as Connor began to speak. He liked how Connor's voice made him feel calm and collected. Connor's voice was soothing to the ears and it was like a soft and sweet melody. He smiled and chuckled when Connor said he was talking a lot. "I do not mind. I enjoy hearing you talk. Your voice is very nice and soothing. I think I could spend the whole day, listening to you and not be bothered with anything else. And I would see that as a day well spent." he said, no commenting on the war and all. Lucien didn't like it because his brothers had made plans as well during that time. Lucien just didn't want to think about his brothers at the moment.

He smiled back when Connor finally figured out who was who between them. "Does it bother you? Besides, just because you are the 'girl' as you put it between us, it doesn't mean I will treat you like one. No, you are male, one hundred percent. You will just be a bit more mellower when your with me. That is all." he explained to Connor in the best way that Lucien could think of in that moment.
